Classroom 1- Museum Admission Hours: Friday - Sunday | 10AM-5PM Museum Field Trip Hours: Wednesday - Friday | 10AM-3PM After Hours Rental: Monday - Tuesday| 9AM-5PM, Monday - Sunday | 5PM-10PM Classroom 1 is a flexible meeting space inside the Chabot Space & Science Center. Surrounded by 13 acres of majestic redwoods in the Oakland Hills, Chabot is a unique and stunning location to hold your next event. Our experienced events team is available to help you customize a completely unique experience. Classroom 1 is 1,200 sq. ft. and equipped with a built in projector, screen, audio, and white board. WiFi is open and password-free throughout the museum. The room includes seating for 40 at 60" round tables. Museum admission & Planetarium shows are included with your room rental during museum hours Fri-Sun 10AM-5PM. Special admission may be added during closed hours. Parking is complimentary at the Center! TEAM-BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES Facilitated activities can be added to your rental pending staff availability, including science-based workshops and guided redwoods hikes. You are also welcome to schedule food drop-offs, but no heating or cooking equipment is permitted in the room unless supervised by a licensed caterer. Host may accept the order on your behalf and bring back to the room if desired, but does not check the order and cannot take responsibility for any discrepancies. GUEST EXPECTATIONS *Arrival: Host will be available to greet you and show you to the room. *AV Setup: Basic A/V connection or other questions during your visit, but please remember to bring laptop adapters. Windows laptops can connect over Bluetooth. *Restrooms: Available immediately outside of the room. CONVENIENCE Hiking trails are easily accessible for mid-day breaks yet we are only 10 minutes away from downtown Oakland. Plus, the cost of your rental goes to supporting our education programs for the Oakland community!
