Our 1911 gem combines modern amenities with the charm and character of vintage Portland. You'll enjoy a spacious, freshly renovated 1st floor apartment, with living room, dining room, kitchen, and one bathroom. Features include: Fast Wifi, Xfinity Cable TV, Netflix, Apple TV and Bluetooth speakers. Additional Features include: - 10 feet high ceilings - Large original wood casement windows throughout - New stone entry and new oak floors throughout - Original vintage fixtures - Rough hewn stone fireplace - New quartz countertops. - Well equipped kitchen with pots, pans, serving dishes, silverware and dishes for 8 people, French press, various kitchen utensils and tools. Kitchen appliances include Vitamix blender, Cuisinart coffee maker, food processor, toaster etc. Microwave available upon request. Please note there is no dishwasher. - Linens and towels along with organic bath products - Solid hardwood live-edge dining table - New fast and efficient furnace (and central air conditioning) - Original artwork throughout - Books, magazines, games and puzzles - Tennis rackets & balls, umbrellas, picnic basket - Only non-toxic, green, sustainable house cleaners are used. You will have exclusive use of the entire 1st floor, a generously sized apartment with separate entrances and complete privacy from the owners living quarters above. The front porch is shared, but the porch furniture is for your exclusive use. Please note there is a 9-person maximum on the property without prior approval. To discuss exceptions, please contact us in advance. Please be conscientious of the neighbors while socializing outside. A smart lock keypad allows for convenient self check-in upon arrival. Free parking is available on the street in front of the house. Respect for Neighbors The William Waters House is on a quiet residential street and we have amazing neighbors on all sides. We strive to maintain positive relations with them, so for this reason we ask that you respect house rules and avoid parking near neighbors driveways. Interaction with guests We live in the upper unit and are often available if needed, but we assume you want privacy and we respect that. The William Waters house is a 3-story historic home and the upper levels of the home are a separate unit which we reside in. While generally very quiet, there is some minimal sound transference. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 7am. Again, parties are strictly prohibited.
