Spring Factory turned Open-Concept Loft with Award-Winning Kitchen!!!

This early 1900's warehouse loft was formerly a Prohibition era distillery, then a spring factory for several decades. It was recently converted into a gorgeous, open loft space with an award-winning kitchen design. The space is overflowing with original architectural elements: joist beams from the World's Fair, 14' ceilings, cast iron brackets, pulleys, and wheels used to power spring production machinery, solid oak floors and exposed bricks throughout, a hand pulley freight elevator, and more! The kitchen was featured in Signature Kitchen & Bath's 2014 annual kitchen awards, winning 2nd prize in the contemporary class. It includes a 10' long stainless steel island, and top of the line appliances: a 22,000btu, 6-burner range, double ovens, a large refrigerator and commercial exhaust hood, all by Thermador. A unique fusion of various Chinese, Japanese, and vintage industrial elements outline the tasteful decor. Most furniture is a blend of metals, woods, bricks, furs, and leathers, creating a sophisticated environment that oozes with character and mystique. Both full bathrooms are surrounded by floor-to-ceiling Spanish porcelain tiles, glass enclosed showers, rainfall shower heads, and Japanese toilets. The master bathroom includes a massive illuminated mirror, heated floors, and a stainless steel Japanese soaking tub. The location is directly in the heart of Wicker Park with easy free parking along both sides of the building on Wood or Haddon Streets (or nearby Thomas or Honore). The space features tall north-facing windows and easy entry from the street (just 4-5 steps directly into the space). I've had film crews as large as 20 people and parties with 35-40 people. I don't do events generally and prefer to host film and photography shoots. The kitchen, which is often a primary focus for users, allows for nearly 180 degree views and angles which is super popular with production crews, not to mention 13ft+ ceilings. So far I've hosted engagement shoots, celebrity chef interviews, Youtube video series', lifestyle and product shoots, pet food commercials, and much more!
