Introduction: Glendale Podcast Studio is the perfect location to shoot your Podcast in the heart of Glendale, California. We use Blackmagic 6K cameras, Shure SM7b microphones (with Cloudlifters), and have incredible flexibility in lighting, colors, set design, furniture, and vibes. We are set up for Podcasts, live streams, live audience podcasts, live editing, and more. We have up to 6 parking spots available to reserve in our private parking lot, and there is plenty of street parking in the neighborhood. --------------------------------- The General Setup: Located on the ground floor of our facility, "The CYC Wall" features a 24-foot by 12-foot pre-lit "Magic Cloth" powered by Aputure lights. You can dial in everything from a warm sunset tone to a cool moonlit look in just seconds. We have modular backdrops and Aputure Nova LED lights that can change the color of the set in seconds. We also have 24 feet of modular walls with green hedge, slats, wallpaper, and other looks available to configure your custom set. We have 3 different sofas, 4 pairs of different colors of accent chairs, and a height-adjustable wooden table with barstools so you can custom design your set in just a few minutes. Whether casual on chairs/sofas or formal at a table, you can have the look and feel you want for your podcast. Audio Equipment: • 4 Shure SM7b microphones with Cloudlifters • 4 Sennheiser wireless lavalier microphones • Rode Podcaster Pro & Zoom recording interfaces Video Equipment: • 3 Blackmagic 4K & 6K cameras featuring Sigma Cine Lenses • Up to 7 Blackmagic 4K cameras are available as add-ons if you want more camera angles Lighting Equipment: • Huge 24-foot by 12-foot "Magic Cloth" overhead lighting powered by Aputure lights • 2 Aputure Nova p300c LED lights to create any color backdrop on our Cyclorama Wall • 2 Aputure Amaran 200x with 5-foot softboxes with optional grids • 4 spotlights for accent lighting --------------------------------- Audio Only Podcasts: For audio only podcasts, we recommend you allow approximately 15 to 20 minutes upon arrival to be ready to record. Our engineers will walk you through the setup and answer any questions you may have. Once you are ready to go, we’ll hit record, and you will be left in privacy to record your podcast. If you need any help, an engineer is on site and just a quick call or text away. Note that for future bookings, you may only need 5 to 10 minutes to be ready to record. --------------------------------- Audio & Video Podcasts: For audio & video podcasts, we recommend you allow approximately 30 minutes upon arrival to be ready to record. If it’s your first time recording a podcast at Glendale Podcast Studio, we recommend you allow for an additional 15 minutes. Our engineers will have your setup ready for you, set camera angles with you, and leave you in privacy to shoot your podcast. We are able to monitor your podcast remotely in our Control Room to ensure everything is running smoothly. Note that for future bookings, you may only need 10 to 15 minutes to be ready to record. Remember, nobody likes to feel rushed. We want you relaxed and ready to create amazing content. --------------------------------- Producer Viewing Room, Bathrooms, & Dining Area: Because you may have producers, crew, or guests that need a place to hang out during the podcast, we have several adjacent spaces for staging, loading, and relaxing. We also have 2 bathrooms (1 with shower) as well as a Green Room/Lounge and small kitchen & dining area available for you. --------------------------------- Audio Files: Isolated recordings of each microphone will be provided along with a stereo track of everything together. --------------------------------- Video Files: Isolated recordings of each camera will be provided. If any live camera switching was toggled by a guest or a producer during recording, we will also provide the “program mix.” We have the following options for providing you with the video files of your session: • Bring a blank compatible USB-C SSD Drive, and we’ll format it & record straight onto your drive • A Samsung T7 SSD Drive is recommended. 1 TB is likely sufficient, but we recommend 2 TB drives • If recording in 4K, we’ll record each camera angle onto our own drives (1 per camera) and transfer all files to your SSD after the session • We can provide this SSD for you if requested as an add-on to your booking. --------------------------------- The Neighborhood: We are located just around the corner from Atwater Village – a bustling, pedestrian-friendly area of Los Angeles that you must check out if you don’t know it. You will find an unlimited variety of coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, bars, and motels in the neighborhood.
