The Country House is in the geographic center of The Valley of the Moon (what Jack London named Sonoma Valley), near Old Glen Ellen, South of Kenwood and just 4 miles North of the historic Sonoma Plaza. Two stately palms mark the entrance to what was originally a carriage house, where travelers would change horses, before continuing on to San Francisco. The Valley is narrowest here, the Mayacamas mountains to the East and Heaven Hill to the West, there are many cozy places around the property to sit with a view or have a private conversation. There is also a private Pool, hot tub, gardens and fire pit. A 15 foot redwood-slab table under a grape arbor may boost creativity at your next board meeting or just provide a rustic location for an elegant catered lunch or dinner, as it was designed. The house is surrounded by world class wineries, dining, spas, history and nature. It is a great getaway year round to use as a base for meetings and team events. A couple minutes from the house: BR Cohn, Abbot's Passage Benzinger, Hamel, Eric Ross, Imagery, Arrowwood, Mayo, Little Family, Laurel Glen and Paint Horse. Hike or Mt. Bike right from the house into the Jack London State Park and the Sonoma Regional Park. We have had everything from yoga classes to sales team meetings to small wedding ceremonies (18 people max not including children) and many birthdays at the property.

18 guests max not including children. Catering is welcomed. If you need any help or suggestions with planning we love to help. Please note that there is no smoking anywhere on the property. The house is located in a high risk fire zone. Quiet hours are from 9 pm – 9 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times. Quiet hours are strictly enforced. If renting the outside spaces only (pool house bathroom included in outdoor rental) we expect that the property will be left in the same state it was found in: all garbage and recycling must be placed in the large bins provided and if there is not enough room the excess must be taken with you. All outdoor furniture returned to its original positions, tables wiped down. If pool towels are provided they shoulld be left hanging on the deck railing outside the laundry room on the back deck. If the entire house and property are rented then an additional cleaning fee will be added depending on use. For Day rentals the primary bedrooms are typically locked off but the rest of the house will be available for your use. Cleaning supplies, linens, pool towels, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry supplies and more can be provided on request. For rentals using the fire pit, safety equipment on site must be used and the fire must never be left unattended. The metal plate and spark guard must be in place to put out the fire. We are in a high fire zone area so the fire pit must only be used responsibly. Please Note: *Only gummed backed materials may be used to attach or affix anything to the furniture, walls, or building. *No glitter or confetti of any kind is allowed on site. INSURANCE: Additional Event Insurance may be obtained through Eventhelper.com. Please list the host as additional insured. SETUP AND CLEANUP TIMES Set-up and clean-up time should be included as part of your total rental time. Please consider your setup and teardown needs for the evening and factor time into your booking accordingly.
