The Historic Grove Building is four short blocks from Oakland's Preservation Park, and is a unique Art Deco style building (built 1933) in the style of Oakland's Paramount and Fox Theaters. Our location, with direct sidewalk access and free parking, is just a few blocks from the Federal Building, 5 minutes walking distance to downtown and Oakland City Hall, and three walk-able blocks to 19th Street BART. We are one block from freeway access to 980, 580, 880 and Highway 24. It is wheelchair accessible. We have a convenient on-site free parking lot. Family Paths, Inc. are the building owners, and our mission is strengthening family relationships. We do in-building therapy with MFTs and LCSWs and run our 24 hour Helpline. Therapy rooms are rented out on monthly basis at $25 per hour, and the rent is $100 per calendar month, even if five meetings fall on the same day in the month. The rooms are also rented out on an hourly basis and at the same time every week for consistency. No more than three people should be in the room at any one time. We ask that therapy room users DO NOT use Family Paths equipment, toys, games or sand tray therapy items. We are open 9-5 but can accommodate evenings and weekend sessions. There is a 15% discount if the room is used for more than 8 hours in a day. For larger meetings, or for group therapy, please see our Peerspace entry for The Historic Grove Building Conference Center. Family Paths Alumni can request a 10% discount.
