Alice's DelRay Gardens & Event Space

I enjoy hosting people from all over the world in my home. I’ve travelled extensively in my professional life and find peace and quiet in the garden spaces that I’ve created around the property. I’ve designed and built every space; inside and outside of this 1940’s DelRay cottage, building on the initial efforts of my grandfather from 1939 to today adding a ChargePoint Tesla electric vehicle charger serving the driveway. It is both quite modern and at the same time beautifully landscaped to create numerous private/personal spaces. I look forward to hosting your event making your corporate planning event, child’s birthday party or wedding party comfortable, peaceful and just a tad elegant. This is a 4 season retreat, where you can gather your thoughts, gather w/ friends, marry your soulmate or stage an elaborate photo shoot. The cottage is a very quick trip to the DC & Alexandria waterfronts as well as the Gaylord National Harbour. This space is perfect for extended family, work associates or a group of friends. Relax in DelRay and spend an afternoon / evening immersed in a blend of nature, exciting ideas and social energy!!! I've hosted Wedding Proposals w/ rose petals strewn in the snow, Corporate Planning Retreats, Easter Egg Hunts and Mothers' of the Bride Dinner Parties, bringing families together from around the globe and multi-generational anniversary parties. In some cases these are catered affairs, contracting w/ bonded and certified kitchens and in other cases we have taken advantage of the extensive outdoor kitchen and beautiful serving bar to prepare food onsite. I've provided a quiet & private space to set up a buffet line outside if that's a better use of time and space. There are a number of lighting scenarios for the outdoor spaces to allow gatherings to extend un-interrupted into the evening. The garden spaces have served as the back drop for wedding photographers and family portrait photographers. There is a specially designed patio at the rear of the property that has been configured to host any number of musicians and band members to serenade the guests. (Pleasantly low volume Please)
