Durham Vintage Shop Lush with Treasures

Our Durham Vintage Shop Lush with Treasures is a unique and vibrant vintage shop within walking distance from the heart of downtown Durham. The building and space are large and commodious, full of natural light from its front, north-facing windows. The first half of the shop is brimming with mid-century modern furniture and homewares, and one-of-a-kind antiques, rarities, and oddities. Several mannequins and dress forms throughout the shop model a variety of eras of clothing, and the back half of the shop is full of racks and displays of both of women's and men's vintage clothing. A large collection of fully grown, mature houseplants grace the front of the shop. All of the lighting in the shop is vintage, creating an especially charming ambiance towards the evening. The shop is a great venue for a video or photography shoot, especially if vintage props and/or clothing are desirable. As a furniture shop, we often have a cozy vignette with seating for small gatherings, and because many of our racks are on wheels or easily moved about, we have a unique opportunity to create space in an otherwise busy environment. Some successful uses of our shop in the past include the following: a music venue; a commercial set; a meeting space for various groups; clothing swaps; music videos; band practices; private shopping events; band practices; and even a speed dating event!
