The Neighborhood: Swinging Bridge Reservoir is the largest largest lake in the Sullivan Catskills, and one of the few that allows motor boats. You'll feel removed from the city, but still within 20 minutes of groceries and things to do. The neighborhood is a mix of seasonal homes and year round residents. A public boat launch is nearby, and just around the corner are two full services marinas--Starlight and Swinging Bridge Marinas. Getting Around: We recommend having car for your stay. Taxis are available, but ride sharing services are more sparse. Rental car services are available in Monticello. Shortline Coach Bus Service provides service between New York City and Monticello as well. Otisville and Port Jervis Metro North Stations are each approximately 30 minutes drive from the house. The trip from NY Penn Station to Otisville is about 2 hours. Train access is great if you have members of your group who need to arrive/depart at different times. Things To Know: No more than 4 cars allowed. The dock is not available from early November until the lake has thawed and levels stabilize in late spring. Guests do not have access to the jet skis or boat moored on site. Boat rentals are available from the local marinas. Garage is not accessible to guests. This home is pet free, no exceptions.
