A century-old Brooklyn time capsule layered with historic detail, aged patina, and eclectic style. The house retains a wealth of original architectural features, including inlaid parquet floors, ornate woodwork, restored sash windows, and a dramatic pier mirror anchoring the front parlor. Through a set of original pocket doors, the wainscoted “green room” features a coffered ceiling, built-in glass-fronted bookcases, and plate rail, all in their original finish. Upstairs, a stained glass skylight illuminates a dramatic landing with period light fixtures. Furnishings include antique casegoods, mid-century silhouettes, and lush contemporary accents. A trove of collected books, oddities, and folk art pottery gives the home the feel of a walk-through curio cabinet, ideal for atmospheric interviews, film shoots, and evocative product and fashion photography. INCLUDED WITH YOUR BOOKING: — Two connected parlor-level rooms with period woodwork, bay windows, and curated styling, plus the upstairs landing. — Kitchen access for staging, lunch breaks, or hair & makeup (functional but not photogenic.) — Backyard access — Optional add-on for additional fee: Upstairs bedroom and/or large home office. (Recommended for larger crews.) PLEASE NOTE: — This is an old house that has never undergone a gut renovation. Doors stick, floors creak, and the wood shows its age. — We live here. In most cases one of us will be upstairs and out of your way during your booking in case you need anything. THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Set in Bay Ridge, one of Brooklyn's most culturally rich (and underrated) neighborhoods. You’ll find great food, friendly neighbors, and quick access to production resources at Industry City and Adorama Brooklyn (15–20 min drive). As a shooting location, the surrounding hood offers old school Brooklyn vibes and tree-lined brownstone blocks.
