The Ostie Studio & Loft is a 5.000 sf property that was formerly used as a local artist's sculpting studio and installation warehouse. What looks like a century-old commercial storefront from the outside, is a converted, spacious home in the heart of Downtown Omaha. We are only a 6 minute drive from the Omaha Eppley Airport, and walkable to restaurants, bars, and entertainment. Walk in less than 10 mins. to Creighton University, CHI Center, and Charles Schwab Field (Home to the College World Series). What to expect: Think of a house being built inside a warehouse. When it was built in the early 1900s, the space was used as a transport stop to pick up goods and deliver to other parts of the company thanks to the centralized location off the interstate. Later, a custom drapes business where all the window dressings were made-in house (the 4,000 sq. ft. basement still boasts the names of the types of fabrics used). The basement also currently houses wood-working, carpentry space and ample storage. We had at one point housed furniture for estate sales. A unique feature are the varietal rooms, offering both living and work space. Large living room, full kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, and a bonus hidden room (could be used for a 5th bedroom). We can easily sleep 10 people in beds. The studio is separated with a door from the main living area and has been used to host comedy shows, yoga, and small weddings in the past. It currently has a ping pong table, sitting area and art throughout. Want some fresh air? An enclosed, private outdoor space off the back of the building is perfect for BBQs and socializing. First Floor - one bedroom with two single beds (spiral stairs to secret room - air mattress) Second floor - 3 bedrooms and one large bathroom with plenty of room to spread out and sleep. The first room has 2 twin beds (sleeps 2), one queen room (sleeps 2) overlooking the gather room and one King room (sleeps 2).
