Daily Cleaning Checklist (before opening, between classes, and after closing)
Before Opening:
Floors: Vacuum and mop all floors (especially around equipment and reception). Use low-scent, non-toxic cleaners.
Bathrooms: Sanitize all surfaces (toilet, sink, handles), restock paper goods and hand soap, and wipe mirrors.
Reception Area: Dust front desk and retail areas. Disinfect touchpoints (door handles, pens, iPads, etc.).
Air Quality: Open windows briefly or run a diffuser with essential oils like eucalyptus or lavender (if brand-aligned).
Between Classes:
Reformers & Equipment: Wipe down all high-touch areas with disinfectant wipes or spray (alcohol-based or EPA-approved).
Props (loops, weights, balls): Clean or set aside for sanitization if used.
Towels/Personal Items: Replace any used studio towels with fresh ones.
After Closing:
Full Equipment Wipe-Down: Clean all equipment thoroughly including headrests, straps, footbars, and platforms.
Trash: Empty all bins and sanitize liners.
Floors (again): Spot mop or do a second full mop depending on foot traffic.
Aromatherapy Refresh: Lightly spritz calming room spray or run a diffuser to maintain the studio’s elegant scent.
🧽 Weekly Deep Clean Checklist
Equipment Detailing: Use warm soapy water on reformer frames and detailed areas not cleaned daily. Tighten screws or check wear-and-tear.
Mirrors: Deep clean to remove any fingerprints or streaks.
Ventilation/Filters: Dust air vents and clean or replace filters if applicable (especially if using HVAC aromatherapy).
Props & Mats: Wash fabric loops, straps, and any soft props. Disinfect mats and larger props thoroughly.
Retail Area: Dust shelves and product displays; sanitize sample products if handled.
