Purposefully Primitive in Lucas, Texas sits on a five plus acre peninsula nestled in the heart of Lucas, Texas. Three sides of the property are surrounded by two creeks that merge in the back of property. The backyard is heavily wooded which creates a dramatic backdrop behind our large rectangular pool with clean lines. This unique home has plenty of front yard space to accommodate many activities like a volleyball game, throwing football, running, tossing a baseball... The home combines primitive with modern. Think Sundance Catalogue and you will get the vibe of this home. Lots of neutral colors, lime stone rock, stucco, warm wood accents/hand hewn beams, old, odd sized doors throughout, vintage, muted roof tiles and lots of texture. The lighting is spectacular as there are large windows and glass doors that surround main living areas and kitchen so the nature can be enjoyed from inside the home. The kitchen has an extra large island and large cook top stove boasting a lime stone back splash. Hand hewn beams and large antique lanterns add a special touch to this space. It is warm, yet light and airy. The large family room and dining room oozes a cozy feel while being very bright. It blends the warmth of a large, light brown leather, oversized Arhaus sectional with real hand hewn beams and columns that make this space stand out. The dining area has a vintage 10 foot long dining table with mix/matched seating. We also have what we call "The Cabin" which is our guest space. It is a cozy white and wood room full of old hand hewn wood beams, antiques with a touch of robin egg blue.
