Welcome to a 1,000 sq. foot art studio with half of it dedicated to Photography/Film work. We’re tucked between the best Downtown Manhattan neighborhoods— situated on Bowery / Grand St in Chinatown and Little Italy. SPACE: → 11 ft ceilings → Two large southeast-facing windows → 9ft wide x 10ft high backdrop LOCATION: - Little Italy/Chinatown - Off the corner of Grand St. & Bowery – This space is as central as it gets— one block away from the Grand St. Station (B / D lines) and only one stop away from Brooklyn. There’s street parking directly in front of the building that is often open and a parking garage nearby. Only one flight of stairs leads directly into the studio. FOOD: For the scrappy artists still cutting their teeth in this world, Green Garden Village serves duck over rice for $8.50 a plate a block away. On your way back, Double Crispy Bakery will lure you in for a $2.50 Macanese Egg Tart. Life is uncertain. Sometimes Thomas and his visitors eat dessert first. We all know that feeding your crew that cutty stuff produces better work. FLOOR LAYOUT: You'll be sharing the floor with an artist’s studio in a separated secondary room, so please be mindful when using the backroom. All requests for material and/or any art pieces will gladly be considered. The secondary space is available for any wardrobe changes and also connects to the private bathroom. REQUESTS: All requests both outlandish and common will be considered. If a photographer / director’s opinion is needed, feel free to ask Thomas or the studio manager (Lucy) if either of them are on site. We care first and foremost about the work.
