Casaluna on Finley Ridge is a private 21.5-acre ridgeline escape 2,100 feet above Morgan Hill with sweeping 270-degree views of Anderson Reservoir, Coyote Lake, San Jose’s east hills, Lick Observatory, and unforgettable sunsets. The property is raw and cinematic, no buildings—mostly flat on top, with rolling hillsides, dramatic drop-offs, and a winding gravel access road that provides numerous distinct looks in one location. Ideal Uses: golden-hour shoots, car commercials, fashion editorials, music videos, or founder portraits with scale—and so much more. Crews have full run of the land with 20+ vehicle parking for trucks and cars. Flat staging pads on top make it easy for grip trucks, catering, or base camp. Additional uses: The ridge’s elevation and unobstructed horizons also make it suitable for shooting aerial activities like hang gliding or parasailing, which can create striking visual sequences. Layout Options: ridge-top overlooks for panoramic shots, graded flats for hero moments, 400 feet from the main road to the overlook area for action-packed and bumpy motion sequences, and moderate off-trail slopes leading into a private forest with some magical secluded corners. You also have access to the lower portion of the property (separate entrance) with gentle slopes, California live oaks, and multiple flat pads for spreading gear. No smoking anywhere on the property, at any time. (Summer and autumn grasses are extremely dry and present a serious fire hazard.) Do not touch, tamper with, or climb on the well equipment or any utility structures. The water is non-potable and the system must remain undisturbed. Fires, fireworks, or open flames are not permitted. (That includes campfires, candles, lanterns, etc.) Stay within the designated booking areas. Some slopes and drop-offs are steep—use caution and do not attempt to climb unsafe areas. Livestock may be present on or near the property. Do not disturb, chase, or feed cows, horses, or longhorns that may appear across the fence line. All trash and materials must be packed out. Leave no trace; restore the site to its arrival condition. No digging, cutting vegetation, or altering the landscape. Drones are permitted with prior approval, but operators are responsible for safe and legal use. Insurance is recommended for productions using heavy equipment, vehicles, or stunts. Optional additions you could include if you want to keep things even tighter: Quiet hours (if you want to prevent late-night bookings). Restroom disclosure (e.g. “No restrooms on site; guests must provide their own facilities”). Parking rules (e.g. designate areas for trucks vs. cars so they don’t scatter all over your ridge). Ambience & Neighbors: the ridge is remarkably quiet—no highway or flight-path noise, excellent for clean audio. Across a barbed-wire fence, you may occasionally see horses or two longhorns. Friendly black cows roam freely on the hillsides (sometimes leaving traces). Seasonal Looks: Summer/Autumn: tall golden grasses and crisp, warm light. Winter/Spring: lush green hills with wildflowers—an “Ireland in California” feel. Access: 15–20 minutes from south San Jose on Highway 101, exit East Dunne in Morgan Hill, then 15 easy drivable minutes up the mountain. Crews get a remote, cinematic landscape without leaving the Bay.
