Based in Penfield, NY, our studio space is truly one of a kind. With over 2000 square feet of space indoors and over 17 acres, our studio gives creators and individuals endless opportunities to create unique content in an intimate setting. Not many places in the Rochester area allow photographers to capture photos in a private setting. At OIM Studios, we offer our photographers the opportunity to utilize indoor and outdoor sets and have complete control of the specific setting in which they want to capture images. When we first thought of creating one-of-a-kind outdoor spaces, optimal lighting was at the top of our minds. The time of year and day you want to capture images will determine the optimal set of your choice. We have created several different setup concepts to ensure we have various photo opportunities year-round. SETS TO CHOOSE FROM: The Wildflowers ½ Acres of wildflowers bloom from July to September and change colors each month. During the first month of bloom, blues, purples, and whites are most vibrant. As fall approaches at the beginning of September, yellows tend to be more prominent. Wildflowers can be used for photos until the first freeze, generally mid-October. Please note that we will have paths throughout the field that will allow you to capture photos easily while preserving the beauty of the field. The Sunflowers They will bloom in August and can be photographed until the first frost when they die. We have strategically planted the sunflowers so that the sunlight is perfect from every angle when you capture images. The Lavender The Lavender rows are strategically planted side-by-side with the sunflowers to provide a picturesque setting with contrasting colors. The Evergreens The Evergreens stand tall year-round, allowing you to capture photos in every season. They are planted in straight rows, making it very picturesque for various photoshoot concepts. Please note that we will have paths throughout the evergreens that will enable you to capture photos easily while preserving the beauty of the field. The Maples When planting and designing our outdoor sets, we were pleased to see that the Maples held their color the longest, allowing us to capture fall’s beauty. You can photograph clients from early spring to late fall with these maple trees. The Picnic The picnic outdoor set allows couples and families to have a more intimate setting for a champagne toast or a standard picnic. We can use bistro lighting or other tools to create the perfect setting for you and your clients. The Pine Tree Arch The Pine Tree Arch has endless customization options! Depending on what you want to capture, we can set this up in a boho theme or utilize other props to achieve your desired look. While the Boho theme has been most popular, we can create exactly what you envision. The Split Rail Fence The Split Rail Fence allows us to create a unique, simplistic photo setting. This rustic, weathered wood fence complements the outdoor beauty of the fields on both sides. Its simple yet striking design makes it perfect for several occasions, and the fence can be utilized year-round. The Swing The swing is conveniently placed in our outdoor sets, allowing you to capture photos with a gorgeous backdrop of sunflower fields. It can be utilized from Spring to late Fall. It is an excellent addition to any outdoor photo shoot, providing structure, character, and endless creative possibilities. The Hay Bale Hay bales are a quintessential element of countryside charm. Their rough, earthy texture and warm tones make them a versatile prop for photos with a rustic feel. Although the hay bale is often utilized year-round, it is most commonly used during fall photoshoots. The Truck The 1949 Ford F1 truck can transform any photoshoot into something special. It’s vintage charm and rugged appeal make it a fantastic photo prop for any scenario. Whether you’re capturing moments for Christmas, fall, or just a fun rustic-inspired shoot, this truck brings a timeless, unique vibe. Please note that additional fees may apply—mention this upon booking. The Track The Motocross Track is the ultimate backdrop. It offers endless creative possibilities for themed photoshoots. Whether you’re capturing the thrill of motorsports, embracing a rustic or adventure vibe, or creating a dynamic scene that tells a story, the track brings an exciting, bold element to any shoot.
