Drummond Cabin is our original 1970s log cabin located in the western Catskills in Bovina Center — a rustic, intentionally low-fi retreat designed for slowing down and disconnecting. The cabin sits on 3 wooded acres along a quiet private mountain road surrounded by old stone walls, forest, wildlife, and seasonal mountain views. The space works especially well for photo shoots, film productions, interviews, lifestyle and fashion content, small creative retreats, writing sessions, music and art projects, intimate gatherings, and cozy overnight stays. The aesthetic is warm, authentic, and nostalgic — with cathedral beamed ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, vintage-inspired interiors, rocking chairs on the covered porch, and a moody analogue cabin atmosphere that photographs beautifully in all seasons. The cabin is approximately 770 square feet with an open living, dining, and kitchen layout centered around the fireplace. Two bedrooms and a full bath are located on the main level, with a small loft lounge above accessed by ladder. Outdoor areas include a covered front porch, hammock, fire pit with seating, outdoor dining area, and surrounding woodland. The cabin intentionally does not have dedicated Wi-Fi, making it especially appealing for unplugged retreats and productions seeking an authentic off-grid feel while still maintaining modern comfort. Limited Wi-Fi access from our neighboring cabin may be available upon request if needed. A landline is available for emergencies or essential guest use, and cell service in the Bovina area is limited. Nearby towns include Andes, Delhi, Margaretville, Hobart, and Roxbury, with easy access to farms, hiking, skiing, restaurants, breweries, wedding venues, antique shops, and other Catskills destinations. Parking is available onsite. Vehicles with slightly higher clearance are recommended, particularly during winter months, as the cabin is located on a private mountain road at approximately 2,400 feet elevation. For larger groups or multi-space productions, our neighboring Sky Cabin may also be available to rent separately or together.
