An intimate Victorian brownstone in Hamilton Heights, just two stops from Midtown on the A express. This is our private home, available for pop-up events, dinner parties, engagement parties, birthdays, and small garden weddings, so we host thoughtful, intimate gatherings rather than large events. Built in the 19th century on the historic Upper Manhattan block where HBO's The Gilded Age is filmed, the parlor and garden levels offer inlaid hardwood floors, exquisite millwork, soaring beamed ceilings, oversized south-facing bay windows, pocket doors, five decorative fireplaces, and period chandeliers. Downstairs, a French country eat-in kitchen and lounge open directly onto a private backyard garden. All guests are vetted before booking. Please tell us about your event when you inquire. Pocket doors open the parlor and dining room into one flowing space, and our team can move and restyle furniture to create the setup you need: • Seated dinners in the formal dining room or across the parlor floor • Cocktail receptions with open, flowing rooms and easy movement between levels • Lounge-style gatherings with furniture arranged into comfortable living room seating for pop-ups, salons, and relaxed celebrations Tell us your vision and we'll set the house for it. Furniture moving and restyling is available for an additional cost, and our complimentary planning and design services cover the layout from the start. The B, C, and D trains are also at 145th Street, and the 1 is at 137th Street–City College. Parking is easy here, unlike most of Manhattan. Guests and vendors can choose from a nearby parking garage, metered street parking, and free street parking on the block.
