A purpose-built production room inside Blockhouse Studios in Bloomington, Indiana. Blacked-out floors, walls, and ceiling give you full control over your lighting, and the room is big enough to build multiple setups at once or run one large one without compromise. The Space The main room is 5,700 sq ft, entirely matte black, with an open ceiling. There's no grid, but the structure gives you plenty of easy mounting points for lights, rigging, and hanging elements. Large curtains can block all windows and divide the room if you want separate zones, and if you only need part of the floor, you can book a single half of the production room. Multiple sets of double doors open directly into the production room, and there's a loading dock in the attached warehouse if you're bringing in larger builds or equipment. We'll provide exact resolutions ahead of your shoot so you can build custom media that maps perfectly to the screen. An iPad controller comes with the wall, along with a technician who stays on site to keep the wall running cleanly. To be clear on scope: the technician is there for the LED wall and any needs related to the production room only and is not available as a production assistant. We typically have a staff of 7 to 12 people here Monday through Friday. The offices have multiple entrances on the other side of the building and no one will enter the production room while you're here unless you need something. The kitchen and rear restrooms are shared with the entire building. The production room itself has it's own restroom just for you and your guests. If your production needs the building fully cleared, we can arrange that, though one technician will always remain on site. Message us for pricing and details. This is a production stage, not an acoustically treated soundstage. Crews recording dialogue here have used shotgun mics and lavs with good results, and we've yet to have a production run into a problem.
