PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO CLEANING PROCESS Before Each Booking — 10–15 Minutes 1. Check the Studio * Walk through the entire studio. * Make sure the floors are clean and free of debris. * Check that mirrors, windows, and surfaces are clean. * Make sure there is no trash left behind from the previous session. 2. Clean & Reset Backdrops * Roll paper backdrops neatly. * Remove any damaged or heavily soiled sections. * Return backdrop stands and clamps to their designated locations. * Make sure each backdrop is ready for the next client. 3. Reset Props & Furniture * Return all props to their designated storage areas. * Wipe down chairs, stools, tables, posing boxes, and other frequently touched items. * Put furniture back into the standard studio layout. 4. Check Lighting & Equipment * Make sure lights are turned off when not needed. * Check that light stands, modifiers, and cables are organized. * Secure loose cords to prevent tripping hazards. * Wipe down equipment that has been heavily handled. --- After Every Booking — 15–20 Minutes Floors * Sweep or vacuum the entire studio. * Spot-clean any spills or noticeable marks. * Mop the floor when needed. High-Touch Areas Wipe down: * Door handles * Light switches * Tables * Chairs * Mirrors * Countertops * Props that were heavily handled Trash * Empty trash cans when needed. * Replace liners. * Remove any food, drink containers, tissues, or other waste. Bathroom If your studio has a bathroom: * Clean the toilet. * Wipe the sink and counter. * Clean the mirror. * Restock toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. * Empty the trash. Final Studio Reset Before leaving, make sure: * Props are organized. * Furniture is returned to its proper location. * Backdrops are rolled correctly. * Equipment is safely stored. * Floors are clean. * Lights are turned off. * HVAC/thermostat is set appropriately. * Doors are locked. --- Daily Deep-Clean — 30–45 Min
