Spectacular East Village Townhouse

Huge space (over 2,500 square feet not including two upper floors) with a huge atrium skylight letting in tons of natural light in the heart of the east village. I bought this townhouse in 1996 and completely renovated it in 2003. It is surrounded by lush community gardens on three sides so it's truly an oasis in the city. It’s also nearly totally sound proof and extremely quiet which makes it great for video shoots with sound. The house is spectacular - striking modern, industrial design, and atriums and skylights inside which bring in beautiful outside light. Outside is a 720 sq. ft. patio garden (accessible through the kitchen) with a pergola which is illuminated with fairy lights at night. The living room has a fireplace and dining room table that seats 8-10. Modern kitchen has bar seating with 5 stools and banquette seating for an additional 5. Kitchen has top of the line appliances. The house is perfect to make use of various spaces spaces for shooting (living room, kitchen, banquet area, garden) and there are interior stairs that you can use to get camera shots from above. Outside has table and chairs and in the summer a lush garden. Additionally there are 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms that can be rented out for shoots or for hair/make up or holding room purposes for a small surcharge. (The blue bathroom in photos also requires this surcharge). House has central air, wifi, a fireplace, as well as speakers throughout including in the backyard which allows you to play music through your phone using the Bluetooth. Local street parking is usually easy to find. Set up and break down need to be included in your booking time. When booking please make sure you allow yourself enough time to get the space ready for your event + time to break down and leave the house in good shape. Early arrivals will be accommodated within a 15 minute window without an additional charge. Late departures will be charged after a 15 minute grace period from the official booking stop. For bookings of over 30 people, special permission needed. Price will also increase. Day rates available.
