About the Space

How unique and memorable your event will be! Quaint and cozy 500 square feet open air patio, located at the back of my vintage menswear shop on North Avenue between Rockwell St. & Maplewood St. in Humboldt Park. You will find ample parking and easy access via the Redline train & Rt. 72 bus, or walk from the Blueline Western train stop. The amazing 606 Bloomingdale Trail runs parallel to North Avenue, 2 blocks north. You will also find all you need for your event nearby! Walgreens, a liquor store and Cermak Produce grocery store are mere blocks away. (*don't forget lots of ice!) This space would be great for a small dinner party (sit down max 16), reception, micro-wedding, presentation or photo shoot. Our maximum guest is 25 people. For a nominal fee via out Add-on package, we make available for your use: 3 x 6' tables 1 x 5' round table 1 x 4' table Table linens (white, green, red, burgundy, navy, black) Table runner in gold or silver sequins, baby blue and pink (for baby showers) Cutlery (forks, knives, spoons) Serving utensils including tongs White dinner plates Silver or gold chargers Serving bowls, trays, platters, and cake stand Large tub for ice Ice bucket Clear glass desert plates Clear glass wine goblets and champagne flutes Glass vases (variety) JBL Extreme WIFI bluetooth speaker, tablet 10 x 10 pop up tent 20 folding white chairs 4 benches (flanking the walls, can be moved or removed) *See our "Add-on" package! *due to insurance requirements, ALL TIME on the patio needs to be under contract. We suggest adding and extra 30 minutes for setup time and an extra 30 minutes for tear down. Any physical time must be under contract for insurance purposes. *the latest we can book the space would be 12 midnight. There are residents in the building and we cannot intrude upon their comfort. Feel free to stop by and view the space and see if it will meet your needs. Our general hours are from 12-7p.m. Wed-Sat and 12-5 Sun. Enhanced cleaning measures:
  • High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
  • Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
  • The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
  • Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
  • Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
  • Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
  • Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
The following equipment is provided for every guest:
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
  • Disposable masks / face coverings
The space has the following features:
  • Space has access to outdoor air ventilation
  • Capacity is limited based on governmental guidelines

Yes, I would book again.

Richard is the absolute best. I cannot gush enough about how helpful, thoughtful and amazing he is/was. The space was beautiful and perfect for my birthday event, and Richard helped with every piece. He was accommodating with changes I requested, and ALWAYS had a cheerful disposition. My friends and family were obsessed with the space, and definitely want to come back to look at his fabulous finds :)

Yes, I would book again.

We cannot recommend Richard and this venue enough! We did a micro-wedding (10 people) and gave Richard free control over the space. He decked it out with a beautiful color pattern, amazing dishware/china, gorgeous flower accents- and provided everything we needed to make our day special. He is a fantastic communicator and stayed in touch when the weather wasn’t looking good. He was an amazing host. Wish we lived closer and could use the space again! Get the add-on package! The value far exceeds the price tag! We will never forget this beautiful special day and this space and host were a big part of that.

Yes, I would book again.

Richard has been an absolutely amazing host - we booked his space for our intimate wedding that we managed to put together in 2 weeks. Richard went above and beyond and truly made this day super special. He was superbly detail-oriented, very helpful and responsive, and so caring for our experience! The add-on package is fantastic and the space is so fabulous during the day and especially when it gets darker! Guests arriving through the shop - Richard's Fabulous Finds - is such a unique experience and added so much to the evening! Richard, thank you so much!!

Yes, I would book again.

Richard's patio was all that we could have asked for and more. It's a very nice space for about 20 people and the "extra" package that he provides takes the trouble out of party planning. Not only was the venue wonderful, Richard was very responsive and made our experience great. I highly recommend Richard and his patio!

Yes, I would book again.

I can't say enough positive things about Richard or his beautiful space. He truly listened to and helped create our vision for our little elopement/reception. He was extremely communicative, helpful, and available while never intruding, both leading up to and during the event. We feel so grateful to have found him and this space and to have been able to host our tiny wedding here!

Yes, I would book again.

Richard was amazing to work with, just as everyone has previously said. His rates are affordable and his space is beautiful. It blew all the guests away. His "add-on" package is totally worth it as he has everything you could possibly think of to make the space perfect. I trusted him fully when it came to setting up the patio as I've never thrown a party before. He keeps communication very open and calmed any fears I had. Would definitely book again and my guests were all asking for details so they could book it one day too!

Richard is awesome! I selected the add-on package with my rental for an outdoor brunch and he went above and beyond what I expected. The space was decorated so nicely that I didn’t need to add much else when I arrived. He was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the event. I would definitely rent this space again.
