This space was PERFECT for a birthday party-slash-fundraiser for about 50 people. The host was very accommodating and flexible, and even put out speakers and a cooler for us to use for the event. I would recommend this space and host to absolutely anyone.
Laura was very helpful, and I'm very pleased with how my album release party turned out. This was my second time booking this space and I'm very pleased with the results. Definitely would book again!
The space was perfect for the art show! Laura was very accommodating and extremely easy to work with. I'd highly recommend this space if you're looking for an art engagement or general hangout.
PROS: Laura was professional and very accommodating the morning-of and made sure I had everything I needed. She also recommended an MUA for my client. The space was clean, cozy, and efficient. Great white walls and nice big windows for lots of fantastic natural light. Great big high ceilings (probably around 14 feet?)! Also loved the wood floor. Had access to storage room, backgrounds (I only ended up using one), background stands, a light stand, sand bags, reflector, and some pieces of moveable furniture. NEUTRALS: Had difficulty parking since I'm a small towner. In hindsight, since I arrived at the space so early (8AM) I literally could have parked right out front of the studio in the metered parking but didn't yet have my bearings about me. It's all-day parking and there are about 5 spaces right out front, if you get there early enough. As far as the space itself, I'm not sure how big the whole thing is (there's a door in the storage room that goes to somewhere else) but the shootable/gallery space seems more like 400-500 sqf, plus another 100-200 sqf of bathroom or storage area. Doesn't seem like 900. It didn't affect the shoot at all, just seems like incorrect information. The internet didn't work the whole time I was there. Some sort of Broadband issue that never resolved on my laptop. My MUA used her phone to play music instead. UN-PROS: Received miscommunication regarding Vflats that led to poor planning on my part (traveled 1800 miles by car from out of state, so no re-dos), but fortunately was still able to make my shoot work. All in all, I would book again at the same rate I booked for initially, but would definitely plan differently. Thank you Laura!
