We are accepting bookings for your special event: * Wedding * Baby Shower * Bridal Shower * Birthday Party * Anniversary Party * Dinner Party * Friendsgiving * Other Private Events The space comfortably seats 20 people for a sit down dinner and up to 60 people for a standing cocktail event. It’s a furnished environment including a full kitchen where your friends can cook up a storm or your caterers can make themselves at home. Chic but homey, and looks great in photographs. The natural light is beautiful and abundant! To keep our space affordable, set up and clean up is up to you. You may move items, we just ask that you please return them to their original place. That being said, you are welcome to use anything in our fully-stocked kitchen (plates, cutlery, glasses, serving platters, pots and pans, cake stands, etc.) - anything that can be washed and put back, you're welcome to! Please note that the decorations in the space (such as the swooping cloth pictured in the photograph) changes in accordance with the season. We'd be happy to provide you with information about the specific decorations during your rental time. We do not provide speakers or a sound system. Renters can bring a portable speaker from home for background music. Loud music is not allowed (i.e. if you want to hire a DJ, we are probably not the venue for you). Renters are expected to be respectful of neighbors and keep reasonable noise levels at all times. St. Lydia's is a small storefront church space that hosts rentals of all kinds. We are a progressive, LGBTQIA-affirming congregation working together to dispel isolation, reconnect neighbors, and subvert the status quo. Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. The space was beautiful and it’s a plus that it comes with a full kitchen! The block it’s located on is quaint and quiet. However the air conditioner was not working during the event. Me and my guests tried to troubleshoot but couldn’t get it to work and the host provided me with no instruction regarding the space beforehand. It could have been something that I called the host, Julia, to get some guidance on but I’d barely been able to get in contact with her in the weeks leading up to my event. She did explain that her lack of response to my messages was due to a family emergency. I’m totally empathetic to that, but I’m doing business you should have someone else who can step in and handle things while you’re away. It took me two days on average to hear back and while I called her she only ever responded to me via text. It just seemed a bit cold. I also did not get info from her on how to gain access to the place until a few hours before my event. Talk about anxiety! I give the space 4 stars (one star off because of the AC not working) and I give Julia 2.5 stars on her communication. I read the other reviews which said she had great communication. I’m hoping it’s just due to her family emergency, but I received exactly TWO text messages from her and both were after I prompted several times.

The space was perfect for a baby shower with about 25 people. The space was clean and nicely set up allowing for decorating and serving food and drink as it suits you. Outdoor space allowed the additional breathing room.

It's a super cute space with a full kitchen and a small backyard space. We held a baby shower here for about 40 people and it was the perfect size with enough tables and chairs to fit all. Would not hesitate to book again.

Julia is a wonderful host. She provided a clean, safe, and fully stocked space that was perfect for our event. The space includes a bathroom, a small backyard, a fully stocked kitchen and three tables. Our group of 10 fit comfortably. Julia was extremely generous and let us stay 45 minutes past our reservation time. That extra time was greatly appreciated. I cannot recommend Julia and this space enough!

Due to Covid, things were a bit tricky, but overall communication was there. The space is quaint and beautiful. If you’re having a small gathering, I would definitely suggest this place. Clean, organized and accessible.

I barely leave reviews but wow! Where do we start!? Julia was an amazing host and the space was absolutely perfect for my daughters 3rd birthday. Fully functional kitchen included, so we had a caterer actually cook at the event. the spacious seating allowed everyone to mingle comfortably (considering covid) and the backyard was a great touch for the parents! We will definitely be recommending and booking again in the future! Thank you so much Julia!!
