*This is the OFFSITE listing for our loft event space, which is meant for weekday daytime bookings between 8am and 5pm. Please inquire under our EVENT listing for evening and weekend bookings.* Set above the active workshop of renowned Northwest craftsman, Michael Marian, the loft is a beautifully restored event space just a block from the Ballard Bridge on the Lake Washington Ship Canal. Our loft provides over 2,000 sq ft of entertainment space, which includes 12 ft high ceilings, an open chef's kitchen, seated dining for 40, and a large lounge overlooking the workshop. No food & beverage restrictions. Bring it all in yourself or work with our Event Coordinator to book private dining options. With a full service kitchen and private dining options, our space will make your off-site event exceptionally unique. Additional amenities include two oversized dining tables, 40 chairs, full place settings for up to 40 guests, 60" flat screen TV for presenting, stereo system, two private restrooms, and free onsite parking. *No onsite support during events, so please plan accordingly. The space is essentially "yours" for the time requested, so we kindly ask that you treat our loft like your home. *This hourly rate reflects pricing during the day for offsite meetings, workshops, and production bookings.
EVENT TIME: Rental Guest must include setup and cleanup times in the booking request. PARKING: Plenty of free parking is available in front of our building and around our neighborhood. During workshop business hours (M-F; 7am-4pm), there may be limited parking directly in front of our building due to the needs of our workshop team. CLEANING: Rental Guest is solely responsible for leaving the Loft in the condition in which it was received. Setup and cleanup details must be agreed upon by Rental Guest and Host prior to event date. Excessive trash, food or beverage spills, or property damage discovered at the conclusion of rental will incur an additional cleaning or damage fee. RECYCLING RULES: All garbage and recycling must be properly sorted and moved out to the skybridge. If garbage and recycling are not separated appropriately, Rental Guest may incur additional waste sorting fee. Recycling must be broken down and left in the large Recycle bin. Garbage must be bagged up and left in or next to the large Garbage bin. EXCESSIVE CLEANING OR DAMAGE FEE: Excessive trash, broken dishes, food or beverage spills, or extra cleaning needs discovered at the conclusion of booking will incur an excessive cleaning or damage fee up to $500. *Host may request short-term/event insurance prior to your event date depending on the type and length of event.* DISHES: We charge an additional fee of $200 for the use of our full place settings (plates, bowls, glassware, and/or flatware). The dishes fee will be waived if Rental Guest agrees to wash dishes at the end of the night and return to shelves. (One final load of dishes may be left running in the dishwasher.) FURNITURE REMOVAL: A furniture removal fee of $175 will be charged to have one of the oversized dining tables (including 20 dining chairs) removed from the Event Space. SECURITY: Please note that our building and event space is under video surveillance. Any tampering with security cameras (covering, moving, or removing) will incur an additional $250 charge. BANQUET PERMIT: Rental Guest is responsible for obtaining a banquet permit, should they serve alcohol.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than 7 days before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more

The space overall was good. However there was some miscommunication about the services offered. We were looking for a space with AV capabilities and were promised help with set up for video conferencing but turned out the space wasn't prepared with the right equipment. I'm disappointed that AV wasn't prepared for the requests we had. But overall we loved the space itself.

What an amazing place to throw a gathering. Place was nice and clean when we got there. With a little bit of decoration and creativity, you can make this place look very nice and elegant. Plenty of dinnerware/glassware and silverware provided. Lanie was there right from the beginning till the end. Good communication and prompt when we had issues with the sound system. The only problem we had was that the tv/cable wasn't working but no big deal. The music throughout the place was good enough. Very cute and we'll definitely rent this place again in the future.

We hosted our annual Christmas party at the loft with a catered dinner for 40 people. It was great having everything we needed without having to bring it in- dishes, ice machine, etc. The open space made for great socializing and a quick clean-up.
