It is located half a block from the best Cuban restaurant/cafe in LA, and right next door to a very cute small store with all your basic items like drinks, household products, and party supplies. Lighting and camera rentals are also available. The stage area has vehicle drive-on capability with a 12' wide and 8' tall door to access. Lots of power. Two brand new 5 ton 3phase air conditioning and heating is available. Also available for $45 flat fee is a 5000 Lumen DLP projector and a blue tooth speaker system with amp. 5 - 10 minutes from: - downtown LA - 101 freeway - Hollywood, Silverlake, Los Feliz, Echo Park Parking: - Building has a drive-in garage for 4 cars or 2-3 vans/trucks under 10.5' tall. - Neighborhood street parking - Several large parking structures within a 5 minute drive for larger crews. Alcohol Policy: - allowed to be brought in and served (by individual or bartender) if you are NOT charging money for it. - if alcohol is being SOLD, a permit is required. There is a white cyc wall & floor that is freshly painted, this area can be utilized for your needs (photos/video). All load-in/setup time and cleanup time must be included in the paid booking time. This is firm. You will see that this is the rule for all other spaces on Peerspace as well. Booking time begins from what time you say you will arrive, no rebates for late arrivals. A $125 cleaning fee applies to all rentals. If the space is excessively dirty and not left in a similar condition to when it was given to you, then additional cleaning/damage fees may apply. This will be decided on a case by case basis. There are two brand new 5 ton three phase air conditioning systems. A mandatory insurance certificate is required for all rentals from Eventhelper.com. It is very easy and straight-forward. You will simply plug in your information, pay a fee to them, and an insurance certificate will be quickly issued. No candles or open flames or fires. We had a great event at DAF Creative Studios. It's a cool space, very functional and clean and the AC didn't let us down (somethine we often struggle with at our events during peak hours).
Derek and his whole team were absolutely wonderful~ very available, answered all my questions. Eric, the point man for my event even stuck around for about an hour making sure my team had everything we needed. The space is definitely magic! Will definitely be booking here again!
This place was wonderful to host my Lingerie Fashion Show. Plenty of room to make it your own great raw space will definitely book here again. Derek was very helpful on getting us what we needed.
