The theater marries the beauty, warmth and intimacy of a turn-of-the-century proscenium theater with the latest in stage technology -- the perfect place to host your next event or production. The theater is easily accessible from New York and Boston, in the vibrant Berkshire downtown of Great Barrington. Built in 1905 and meticulously restored in 2005, the theater is a fully equipped fly house, with state-of-the-art lighting, sound, digital video and film projection technology. Our professional production personnel are available to work with you on any event from a simple lecture to a fully-staged opera. The theater is ideal for a variety of corporate, social, non-profit and arts-related events, including meetings and conferences fundraising events film screenings and lectures recording sessions photo, film and video shoots …… and more. Seating is available for small and large events, up to 680 capacity. Catering and lodging packages are available in partnership with our local world-class restaurants and hotels. If you are a business looking to bring your event to the next level, the theater can help you create a memorable event. For use as an off-site venue we are able provide in the cost white-board, projector, table, chairs and free WiFi access. An on-stage off-site meeting could accommodate approximately 60 people. If using the whole theater capacity is 680 people. There are several areas within the theater complex available for catering depending on group size, either on stage, in our entrance lobby or in our lower gallery level.
Your rental fee does not cover the expense of any stage crew, sound engineers or other technical staff. You will need to provide or hire and pay these people, as needed. Our Production Manager can connect you to local technical/sound personnel as needed. You will provide your own musical instruments, sets and props; and obviously you will be responsible for your artist expenses and hospitality, marketing and publicity, and any other expenses not specifically listed above. You will need to provide a certificate of insurance covering this event. There will be a refundable damage/security deposit of 10% of booking cost or minimum $500.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
