Our building's history is ripe with the lore, tradition and curiosity that makes its home in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles a place of intrigue and wonder and a place we have always cherished. Originally built in 1926 as a Prop Design Studio for film and television, the Spanish Colonial style building has an heir of both elegance and comfort daftly mimicking its current owner’s temperament and style. Following that storied use of the building and for the next twenty-five years, the building was a violin factory producing thousands of violins and violas for schools throughout the country. In 1967, some fifty years ago, Costume Designer Rita Riggs purchased the building and made it her studio for her work with everyone from Alfred Hitchcock to Norman Lear and many, many more in between. Rita predated the current interest in Shared Community Office space by offering space to a select group of design professionals that understood her passion and talent for high design and an interest in making a true community out of the workplace. Organically, gracefully and with no pretense, Rita was way ahead of her time. Recently, the building was painstakingly restored to its former glory by 30 year inhabitants of this very special place. They, along with the entire building's membership (including Rita herself), welcome you to share, learn, grow and thrive in a community made up of all generations intent on rising in the pursuit of what promises be a very fulfilled and prosperous family.

Loved the experience shooting there. The space is INCREDIBLE and unique. Scott was so helpful during our shoot. I really appreciate the extra time he took helping my actress and getting me furniture and a desk lamp for my scene.

Space was beautiful and Scott was very helpful. It is a coworking space so there were some sound issues when we were rolling

Clean space but a little musty. The bathroom is shared with others in the larger space but the lock is faulty. Affordable rental space but not the most conducive for a work meeting that’s more than an hour. You won’t be able to go out for coffee or fresh air without calling the host to let you back in. We weren’t given the WiFi info until our 3.5 hour booking was almost over. We tried to use the TV in the room to project our laptop but it wasn’t syncing. Cell reception isn’t great either so dialing in for conference calls is spotty. The room is a small, interior, windowless room so it can feel a touch claustrophobic for 4 people. The space is ideal for maybe an hour long meeting (1.5 max) for 4 people but not a place to brainstorm, collaborate, or host virtual meetings.
