This charming, 1911 building is the perfect location setting for interview shoots in Manhattan. The main living room has French doors (see photos) that extend the dimensions of the space to 36' x 20'. There are north facing windows along the 36' side. This Upper West Side neighborhood is quiet, minimizing city sound issues. In addition, the interior decoration contains simple, elegant antique furnishings, optimal for a wide diversity of backgrounds.

Our crew enjoyed our time in this space. As a production crew, the use of the elevator was a lifesaver in terms of getting equipment into the space. The space itself was huge, which provided depth of field and the ability to have different setups. There were great antiques throughout, giving each room it's own character. Most of all, Townsend was an extremely accommodating host. I would highly recommend this space and use it again for future shoots.

This is a fantastic location in NYC. Townsend's communication was prompt, and he was very accommodating to our production needs. Gear load in for our documentary interview shoot was simple, the location offers multiple looks, and is very quiet for interview purposes. I definitely recommend this location!

This space has an indescribably elegant and enchanting quality. We used it for a narrative short film, but it would be appropriate for a range of project types, ranging from interviews, to feature films, or episodic television. Period pieces could be filmed here, in addition to contemporary stories. It is full of interesting accents, architectural details, and textures. The window are large and numerous letting in a lot of great natural light. There are many interesting rooms that could be suitable for various settings. The building area is busy, but we shot for two twelve hour days and had very little noise interference from outside. It was good the we could run out to buy things for the set, so in that sense the busy area was a plus. The decoration is fascinating. The owner has numerous pieces of furniture, artifacts, antiques, ceramics, art etc. that are a feast for the eyes and imagination. He was very helpful in moving furniture and items around to suit our needs, and allowed us to use items in our shoot which was very helpful. In general, the owner was kind, pleasant, generous, and did everything possible to help us, while keeping a low profile. The pictures do not do this space justice. It is really inspiring.
