The house, built in 1892, is a fully and beautifully restored, 4-story, Queen Anne Victorian which sits grandly at the top of a hill overlooking the north branch of the Forked River, with water views. This Tuscany-style Queen Anne has original craftsmanship & authentic features that have been beautifully restored and maintained. It includes over 16 rooms, 3 staircases, 5 fireplaces, a wrap-around porch, pocket doors, stained glass windows, and fretwork! This historic house is surrounded by lush gardens, an in-ground pool, cabana AND is located right across the street from the marina. It's rich with history & Old World charm! With its ample indoor and outdoor space, our Victorian house is perfect for: product launches, cocktail receptions, dinner parties, cooking classes, engagement parties and pretty much any other special event that that would benefit from a one-of-a-kind location! The entire first floor, including 2 parlors, formal dining room, gourmet eat-in kitchen with professional stainless-steel appliances, butlers pantry, restroom, as well as all porches and outdoor space is available for event bookings. There will always be an on-site manager in case you need any assistance throughout your booking. We are able to provide full catering/dessert set up and tailor it to your specific wishes in collaboration with our consultant chefs, who are also available for private and semi-private cooking classes, date-night cooking class & dinner events. House Rules: 1) No smoking anywhere in the house or on any of the porches 2) No pets inside the house 3) Outside food is allowed. Note: we do have our list of preferred caterers and personal chefs and are glad to arrange and assist with tailoring the menu to your needs. 4) The house is full of antiques. If you would like to bring in your own props for a photo or film shoot, please let us know 72 hours before the booked session as we would like to be the ones to remove any antique items on the fireplace mantels and/or furniture. 5) If any of the furniture needs to be removed, that is a separate arrangement and needs to be discussed directly with the owners. 6) Guest must carry short term event insurance and should secure it through Peerspace. Policy must cover $2 million in general liability covering the house, its contents and grounds. 7) Security Deposit - $500, collected via check, returned once the guest has vacated the grounds and a staff/owner has inspected the property for any potential damage. 8) If you have special needs that are outside the general House Rules (ex: later hours, special menu needs, etc.) please connect with us to discuss as such items are on a case-by-case basis. We are glad to work with you to accomodate as much as is possible. 9) There will always be an on-site manager present in case you need any assistance during your booking. 10) OVERTIME - Per Peerspace's policy, overtime will be billed in half-hour increments. The space must be vacated and all items brought into the space must be removed by the end time of your booking reservation. Overtime will be billed in half-hour increments at a rate of 1.5 times our stated hourly rate. 11) CLEANING/DAMAGES - Cleaning fee is included in the hourly rate, although guests are expected to leave the space in the same condition as they found it in. Guests must respect the space and we ask/appreciate that guests tidy up after themselves. Guests must remove any equipment or rentals they bring in and should factor this setup and breakdown time into their booking hours. Please take good care of our special house. No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items should be used on our walls or furnishings. Any tape or gummed backing materials must be properly removed. Damages (walls, floors, furniture, etc.) will be billed to the credit card on file with Peerspace. 12) MISCELLANEOUS - No glitter or confetti can be used on the property, inside or outside. No open flame cooking inside or outside on house grounds are allowed, except that contained to the grill or firepit. 13) Unfortunately, we do NOT allow any pool parties. The pool area is only available for sit-down dinner, ceremonies or social/formal party setup. 14) Major Holiday Bookings - will be allowed on a case-by-case basis.
