Tucked away in the heart of North Capitol Hill, this intimate, elegant speakeasy is sure to impress your guests. Featuring clever and distinct design elements, such as Murphy tables that fold into the walls, a test tube chandelier, and a periodic table of the elements mural, this is a space unlike any other. You can reserve this venue for your company party, holiday party, birthday party, wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, company meetings, workshops, lectures and more. The venue is attached to a beautiful bookstore, which events can extend into, and a delicious vegetarian cafe. This space also hosts weekly learning and tasting experiences – from unique coffee brewing to craft cocktail mixology. We feature an exceptional seasonal menu of house-made hors d’oeuvres, breakfasts, brunches, lunches and fully customizable dinners, all created by the same wonderful chef that designs our highly rated cafe menu. Our catering menu changes seasonally, is completely vegetarian and highlights local, seasonal produce. We are flexible with our ingredients and will gladly build a menu that works with any dietary restrictions, such as gluten free, vegan, nut allergies, etc. to ensure your guests have the best possible experience. In addition, we are fully amenable to you bringing in outside food and catering to meet your guests' requests. No matter the need, our Events Manager will work with you to create the perfect menu for your event. The pricing listed represents the minimum fee for renting this space; all events can be further customized. Pricing includes set-up time, clean-up time and one staff member to attend to your event (unless otherwise noted). We stock a full bar and are happy to create custom cocktails, designed by our mixologists to complement your event. We are also amenable to clients bringing in outside food and beverages to supplement the catering and cocktails from our kitchen and bar. Surrounded by small businesses, delicious restaurants, and unique retail stores, this is an area full of charm. It is also located on the same street as a grocery store and party supply store. PARKING There is ample free street parking located on our street and on neighboring side streets. We are also on the transit line and less than 10 blocks from the Capitol Hill Lightrail Station. ——————— EXPECTATIONS PRIOR TO YOUR BOOKING Client will set expectations w/ Host 2-weeks prior to booking. Host will work w/Client bar and food menu for booking.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more

The Lab at Ada's was everything I could have wanted and more in a venue. The décor is stunning and creates a bit of a speakeasy meets sophisticated science vibe, but is subtle enough that it can carry whatever theme you want. I loved the flexible seating options and I cannot say enough about how beautiful the bar set-up is. One of my favorite things about the Lab, however, is its staff. Every staff member that I met with thoughtfully listened to my vision for the party, provided great suggestions, and executed the plan seamlessly and, truly, beyond my expectations. The specialty cocktails they crafted specially for the event were a huge hit, as was the rest of the well-stocked bar. The catering was also exceptional and was plated beautifully. I've had so many compliments from the friends and family that joined us at the Lab about what a great party it was and I can say, without a doubt, all credit goes to the Lab and their wonderful team.
