Please note that our hourly rate only include the rental of the physical space. Production equipment inside of our space is extra. Please ask for those rates if you intend to rent any gear. You are more than welcome to bring your own production equipment, in fact, we prefer you bring all your own gear for your production. - ABOUT THE BUILDING - Located inside one of the last remaining live/work artist spaces in Downtown San Francisco's SOMA district. Over 100 years old, car parts were assembled in our studio. The building's owner was a well known SF photographer and philanthropist who knew the value of providing an affordable, creative space for artists to work and thrive. His passion to protect this building and each space inside has always been an inspiration to us to do the same within the artist community in San Francisco. - ABOUT THE SPACE - Hundreds of well known artists have used our space to bring their creative visions to life. We have a beautiful, 17 foot white brick wall that even has a small crack from the 1989 earthquake. We resurfaced the original floors when we acquired this space and added the artist loft and gear storage area. Approx. 500sq. ft. of private shooting space fit for any type of production. We are on the 2nd floor. No elevator. Stairs only. Please feel free to ask us any questions about the space. - ABOUT THE ARTISTS - We are three professional photographers, creative directors and producers who have been using this incredible space to shoot commercial and personal photographic work going into our 3rd year. We have hosted local bands, poets, artists, corporate team off-sites, networking events, movie nights, photography critiques and even individual birthday parties. We have produced photography out of this space for hundreds of brands and clients including some of the most well known editorial magazines in The Bay Area. We are open to your ideas and hope our space can provide you with budgetary flexibility and creative freedom to do your best work! - SERVICES AL A CARTE - If you have questions about production crews or need help sourcing additional help from professional creatives/artists, please let us know. We have a roster of preferred vendors/freelancers, so it's likely we can set you up with the right folks that can fit your budget + enhance your production experience/final execution. - AUDIO RECORDINGS - Be aware that our studio functions inside of a community of artists and creative professionals. Though it is mainly super chill throughout the building, at any given time, there could be ambient sounds/noise not suited for professional/commercial quality audio recording. Please understand up front that you might have difficulty capturing professional quality audio in our space.
When unloading or loading up gear for your production, never leave the front door open without someone on watch. Return the space and all items inside, exactly how you found it. If you didn't rent any gear from us prior to your booking, please do not use anything that you did not bring yourself. Your booking is for the space only. No smoking. Pets and kids are ok as long as they are well behaved and do not touch our gear. 10 people maximum for your production or event is the absolute maximum in our space and in the building. Do not put anything outside in the hallways or set up any of your production in the halls. That is a fire hazard and is disrespectful to the other artists who have studios at the far end of the hall. Alcohol and food is allowed but you need to remove all your own trash after your production in the binds on the first floor. If the binds are full you will need to arrange to dispose of your own trash outside of our building. Do not leave anything behind as we will not be responsible for it after your booking ends. If you rent gear from us, please put everything back where you found it. Always lock the studio's combination lock when you leave, even if you are only gone for a few minutes to grab a coffee. If you spill something please clean/dry it up immediately. If you break anything you should own up to it and tell us immediately. After each booking we do check the space and all gear before we provide a review. If anything malfunctions or seems strange, please tell us immediately. If you have a bigger production or an event, you must have someone dedicated to watching the downstairs door as it can never be left open at any point in time. If you can't have someone standing and watching the door, either plan your production tightly or have them call you when they arrive and walk down to let them inside. Be respectful. Be kind. Be honest. Do your best work possible. Message us about your production and how we can make it easier to create.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
