* Amazing architecture! The schoolhouse was built in 1893 and renovated more than 100 years later to restore its historical charm and add modern amenities. * The first floor is 1,400 square feet with an open floor plan and 18-foot ceilings. The urban rustic charm makes it a truly one-of-a-kind space for special events and gatherings. * Located on a quiet, rural road, but close to all the action in Barryville and Narrowsburg (and just a five minute drive to the river). The space: This charming schoolhouse on the hillside was built in 1893. It has since been thoroughly remodeled and appointed, with many guests saying it feels like something out of a design magazine or an HGTV profile. The main floor boasts an enormous open floor plan with spacious areas for seating and entertaining. Soaring 18-foot ceilings rise over original Douglas Fir hardwood floors and chalkboard wall accents. Its meticulously curated interior design features handcrafted furniture and oversized tufted sofas. The fully equipped kitchen is ideal for making or catering meals, which can be shared at a communal, 12-person dining table. The home comes with lightening-fast WiFi, TV, bluetooth speakers, and air conditioning. A floating staircase leads to the schoolhouse’s two bedroom suites upstairs, both under vaulted ceilings. Each bedroom features a plush bed and private bathroom with luxurious towels and bath products. 1) The first suite features a queen bed and a paned ceiling providing a view of the schoolhouse’s original bell tower. The school bell has been fully restored and is now enclosed in glass. 2) The second suite boasts a king-sized bed that features a skylight for nighttime star-gazing from the cozy iron bed.
