But you merely adopted the dark; I was born in it, moulded by it." -Bane This space is pitch black with the lights off, allowing you to shape and mold your light however you desire. Conveniently located in Seattle's historic SoDo neighborhood, this studio is ideal for product shoots, portrait shoots and smaller video shoots. Three of the walls are freshly painted white with a fourth white brick wall. There is a 12 foot white paper roll and a mid grey roll with one empty slot awaiting any color paper you want to bring in. This studio is a total production chameleon. There is no natural light and the studio is completely windowless, giving you total control over the environment. A small array of lighting equipment is available for an additional fee. Additionally, the building exterior is brick and west facing, making the exterior ideal for golden hour shots to accent the day's work. Our on site production manager is available for whatever you may need or any questions you have. Parking is provided for two vehicles (see notes in rules below). The freight elevator makes loading and unloading equipment a breeze. Want to check it out before you book? We are more than happy to offer a tour of any or all of our three studios, just ask! The studios are available by appointment only though, so make sure to schedule a time before coming by. BOOKING. Please book at least 24 hours in advance. YOUR TIME. Your booking starts and ends according to the booked hours. Please, don't be late for your session's start (we won't add missed time to your booking) and wrap up by the session's end to avoid overtime conditions. OVERTIME might be possible, and its duration completely depends on the studio schedule. Please inform us about possible or desirable overtime during the booking process, and we will see if it will fit in the studio schedule. Please, notice, if you start wrapping up after the end of the booking or just forget about timing - these are overtime conditions, and Peerspace will charge your card for additional 30 min at regular price. PENALTY: If we have next booking in 1 hr after yours and you go overtime, Peerspace will charge your card 1.5 regular rate. Feel free to bring a fog machine if you need a smoke look. PARKING: We are located across the street from Safeco Field. This means we have to contend with sports and event parking. When there is nothing going on there is a huge parking lot and parking is free. During game days, however, we will do everything we can to provide two parking spots, but we CAN NOT guarantee parking availability. Please schedule your booking around games. Once a game has started it is usually no problem to park, but the three hours before a game can be an issue. Please contact us if you have any questions. EXTRAORDINARIES: If your project involves more than 10 people (+$5/hour for each extra person), furry/big/wild animals, sand/dirt/paint/glitter or similar materials, please, inform us beforehand so that we can work out a safe implementation. Possible cleaning fees will apply. DAMAGE! We don't charge safety deposit but we expect you to treat our space and equipment with care and be responsible for the damage that may occur. Regular wear and tear on the equipment is fine, but please let us know if anything breaks. Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than 7 days before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
This was a great space! Came as described in the listing and the host was very helpful with directions & unloading. The hosts were very responsive and informative in the booking process. Beautiful & clean historic building with free parking, a service elevator and quiet neighbors. Both studios they offer (right across the hall from one another) are versatile for many types of shoots - will be coming back again and recommending to colleagues!
This is a great space with solid amenities. Helpful hosts and a smooth process. We will definitely be back to rent this space again or the larger space across the hall.
The space was really great! They had a lot of lighting equipment and the host was super helpful. He helped up set up. Getting in was super easy and the directions were great. The only thing I didn’t like about this space is that the room is really dark, it was difficult to get the lighting we wanted and the brightness even with the lighting equipment. The photos make it seem brighter. Would book again but not for the same thing.
This space is amazing and perfect for productions needs. Plenty of room for activity’s :). Great lighting and clean backdrop. Working with Keith to book this space was a breeze! He is very responsive and professional! Planning to book again V soon!
The space worked well for me it's high ceilings & width allowed for easy lighting setups. Kieth was easy to communicate with and supportive during my whole shoot, he was easy to get a hold of for any questions or concerns.
Had a really great time in the studio. Was able to create great work with the props and space available. Overall it's a great space, they only thing I'd mention is the lighting in photo is brighter than it is in the space. They have led and video lights but not photo lights, so i would make sure to bring extra lighting.
