Vaulted cathedral ceiling cottage in the heart of Frazier Park (an hour north of Hollywood off the 5 freeway). Backyard with patio and hammock, as well as cozy cabin interior with galley style kitchen and several nooks. Approx 900 SQ Ft: Kitchen, one large bathroom, guest bedroom, loft bedroom accessible by ladder, reading nook, and main living room. Renters have access to all of house except owner's personal office. Garage accessible upon request (but we cannot clear all our storage, it must be used as is). We are great for small photoshoots and films. Because of the size of the house, larger productions may have a problem if you have too many bodies and equipment. We are walking distance from the local market and gas station. There is also a hardware store and several restaurants within a couple minutes. The house is pretty easy to stage to feel isolated, even with being on the edge of town and having neighbors. We are an easy drive right into the forests of Frazier Mtn, Mt. Pinos, and Lockwood Valley. Plenty of parking (large dirt lot right next to the house). Sound: There will be some street noise from the main road across the creek bed from the house. It's not too bad, I film auditions here all the time, but it's worth noting to be upfront. Our house is old and quirky. We have two cats, so our couch is worn with cat scratches. We ask that our personal items are not handled as props. If you’d like to rearrange a few things, that’s usually fine, upon request. Fireplace and outside fireplace: depending on the time of year, these may not be used. Frazier Park gets snow occasionally November-March. Things are pretty barren in the winter time. Springtime hits around the first part of April. Leaves fall around end of October/November. Pricing: 1-15 people is the same rate of $80/hr. This space is not recommended for over 15 people because it's a small house. Overtime is after 10hrs. This is a new listing for us, but we're not new to hosting. Emily co-manages a warehouse production space in downtown Los Angeles, so we definitely have personal experience with productions and photoshoots. We're also filmmakers, so we understand film productions and welcome you with open arms. This is our home, so please be respectful of our property and furnishings. We will be on-site for the duration of your rental and are happy to move anything around as you need. Our personal items should not be handled as props. Smoking is allowed only outside. We have plenty of parking in our dirt lot right next to the house. Don't block the road or park in small store parking lot to our east.. No pets inside unless approved prior to booking acceptance. We have a fenced in yard that they're welcome in. We will charge for any damages to our yard. We have two cats. We will keep our cats secured in a separate area during your rental (with owner in personal office). Overtime is 1.5x rate after 10hrs. This is for any vehicles or persons on our property (all must be vacated completely, this includes our parking lot). Be respectful of our neighbors.. If you plan on any loud noises, yelling, etc, please let us know.
This place is awesome! I rented this space for a shoot because I really like the rustic look that you can't really get anywhere around SoCal without driving out for a few hours. Emily was very accommodating, and as a photographer herself understood what I was going for and provided me with helpful suggestions, insights, and help setting up stuff. She also helped me out when I had to make a last minute rescheduling. There were so many points of interest that would make good backdrops here that I didn't feel I was able to make the most of it even though I was there for a bit over 3 hours (maybe I'm just inefficient haha). Also, sorry I got all those vines tangled up..I was having such a hard time trying to separate them 😫 10/10 would rent again
