Built in 1897, this historic home has been used as community hall, theater, glass museum and church. The first floor features a 1400 square foot sanctuary (48 by 29 feet) originally built to accommodate town-hall meetings featuring 15 foot ceilings and stunning natural light. Above the stage is a large mural, painted on a wooden canvas that was discovered hidden in the walls of the grand staircase during a restoration. Historic lamps are refurbished and beautifully hung from the ceilings over the stage to accentuate the space. Floors are heart pine from the original construction.
The stage wings have been fashioned to accommodate a fully updated kitchen and butler‘s pantry. Features include Deft ceramic tile imported from the Netherlands, gorgeous marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, and LCD dimmable lighting. The butler's pantry has matching marble countertops, a built-in wine rack, and glass-fronted cabinets.
The converted upstairs, originally laid out to accommodate the Order's offices, features a dressing room, full bath, and caretakers' quarters.
