Located less than 1 hour from Manhattan, our stone house was built in the 1800s by a writer who spent time writing in a Hunting Lodge in Montana. He then came to Mohegan Lake and replicated the Lodge inch by inch. It is an incredibly unique space and is the perfect space for any kind of shoot -- film, photography, commercials. Whether you want a unique backdrop, or a scene that looks similar to Game of Thrones, this is the space for you. All details in the Great Room are original -- from the stones, to the beams (made from real trees!), to the barn door, to the wagon wheel chandeliers, to the diamond shaped windows. The Great Room has large Cathedral ceilings, plus you have access to 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a renovated country kitchen, and two big outdoor patios, one of which is covered. The house sits on 1/2 acre, including a (non-working) well and vegetable garden. It is half a block to Mohegan Lake, a 1.5 mile long lake with swimming beaches, a bonfire pit and a dock for boats. There is a view of the Lake from the bedroom. Less than 1 hour from Manhattan! We make your production easy! We provide a tent for commissary, access to free wifi, a printer, a dressing room, and a full kitchen.
