About the Space
NLK Studio is a creative work space open to many types of creatives and artists. Our mission is to offer an eclectic location for photographers and videographers that helps inspire everyone involved to #createshit. RATES: $65/hr $40/Half Hour (Additional Time) Set up and wrap time counts as part of rental time, so be sure to include it in your Booking Request. Additional On-Site Gear Rental Available: -9ft Paper Seamless Backdrops with stand, $50/roll -Set of 2 Honey Badger strobes with camera remote, $50/session -Set of 2 1x1 Astra Bi-Color LED Litepanels, $100/session -Basic Grip Package including C-Stands, Apple Boxes, Sand Bags, Flags, Blackout Curtains, and Power Cables, $50/session -Projector with Screen, $60/session -PLEASE NOTE- If we are not available to let you into the studio, we will give you access to a lock box on premises the day of your rental.

- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.

commercial portrait should: I needed a space with a large black wall (not just drop), a white paper drop, and decent light control and this spot fit the bill. The setup was great, and it was clear there were a lot of options for gear available if I want them in the future. Space was exactly as advertised and exceeded expectations. Pricing was spot on. Host was very responsive and efficient. Overall it was a very positive experience and even though I'm in Manhattan it's likely I'll book again. Only qualm was I didn't realize there was no elevator access - it's 3rd floor commercial loft walk up. (I was fine w it, client was expecting elevator) but that's not enough to drop it a star. Sill 5 stars through and through. 10/10 recommend.

Jack was very helpful and responsive when it came to any questions we had. Even on the day-of, he stayed on-site and answered all of our questions. We used the space for a music showcase for local Jersey City artists (not a photoshoot). Our event ran late and more than the designated amount of people ended up attending, yet Jack was very accommodating to our situation. I would definitely recommend using this space as it really is beautiful and Jack is a great host to work with.
