Crystal Creek Drive is 25 minutes from downtown Austin, 35 from the airport. It is 3 miles west of loop 360 off Beecaves Road. The flat part of the lot is bounded by an elegant stucco wall with accent garden lighting. Access to the house is via a courtyard with a fountain, fire pit and ancient carved pillars. The rear of the house is mainly glazed providing breathtaking views off the greenbelt situated as it is on a cliff top. The spacious modern kitchen, dining and living areas are open plan and bathed in natural light. A spacious media room doubles as a bedroom with a large sofa bed and an ensuite shower room and bar. Other ground floor rooms include a book lined study with court yard views and a bedroom/bathroom accessed off the courtyard. The upper two bedrooms both have ensuite bathrooms and private decks accessing that view again. The master suite features a built in kingsized bed and a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and his and hers basins and dressing rooms. The second bedroom has access to a loft via metal steps with a single bed. Separate from the property enjoying even more magnificent views is the stucco faced cabin. It comprises a loft bedroom, open plan living area with sofa bed and a small kitchenette. The bathroom is on the first floor. A spacious deck is accessed via sliding glass doors. A full capacity, using sofa beds and the single loft bed the house will accommodate 13 guests.
This is a very relaxed, low maintenance home where there are very few rules. The covered floor areas are of seagrass which is not very forgiving with regards to spillages so I would ask for caution especially with red wine. My only strong rule is that this a no smoking property and pets are not allowed..
Carmel's space was beautiful and has plenty of natural light, which made every angle look amazing. My only critique would be that there were a lot of personal items around the house because a family lives there. It was a pleasure working with Carmel throughout the entire process!
