About the Space

Our stylish and bright space is a great, colorful canvas space for your next creative meeting! Within our 600 sq. ft space we offer a cozy sitting area, complete with a sofa, coffee table and Instagram-worthy bamboo accent chairs. You can bring your own food and beverages and make use of our kitchenette which has plenty of countertop space, a sink, microwave and gorgeous vintage style refrigerator. The venue is appropriate for both larger gatherings and events as well as more intimate purposes. We offer a clean, naturally lit venue with a chic bar table and bar stool corner as well as designer tables and chairs. You may rearrange the furniture for the duration of the event to fit your needs. Additionally, photographers can make use of a paper backdrop with four different colors and a movable green wall on wheels that can be decorated. A 70” TV with Google Chromecast and HDMI cable is available for presentations, music, and more. The space is located on the intersection of Milwaukee Ave and Karlov Ave, close to HWY 90 with convenient street parking with easy keyless entry, so you can access the venue without meeting with or waiting for anyone. The space can hold at least 40 people. You’re welcome to check it out for yourself ahead of time to make sure it is exactly what you need and even to start planning your event! You may visit any time, Monday through Friday, as long as the space isn't being used for another event. Just let us know the exact date and time you’d like to come by and we will make it happen. OVERTIME Per Peerspace's policy, overtime will be billed in half-hour increments. The space must be vacated and all items brought into the space must be removed by the end time of your booking reservation. Overtime will be billed in half-hour increments at a rate of 1.5 times our stated hourly rate. Please factor setup and tear down time with in your original booking to avoid extra charges. CLEANING / DAMAGES Cleaning fee is added to any booking, although guests are expected to leave the space in the same condition as they found it in. Guests must respect the space and we ask/appreciate that guests tidy up after themselves. Guest must remove any equipment or rentals you bring in. Please take great care of our space and all furniture and equipment so we can keep offering the same great rate to customers like you. Kindly refrain from using tape, sticky tack, nails, screws, staples or penetrating items on our walls. You may hang items on the movable green wall, using the small black hooks seen in the picture. FURNITURE / PHOTOGRAPHER BACKDROP Furniture is allowed to be moved by guests with in the space but can't be moved outside of the space. If you choose to move furniture around please make sure to put it together in the same way you found it in the end of the event. If you use our backdrop, we request that you use only what you need and make every effort to keep it as clean and smooth as possible so that it can be reused. Damages (walls, floors, furniture, etc.) will be billed to the credit card on file with Peerspace. MUSIC If you plan on playing music during your event, you cannot bring in a third party (DJ, band, etc.), nor can you bring in your own speaker. This space is located beneath several residential apartments, so instead, you are free to use the smart TV provided in this space! SALES The sale of tickets/admission for any kind of activity and/or the sale of any type of alcohol is strictly forbidden in this space. This space is for private activities only. MISCELLANEOUS There is no smoking allowed in the space or in front of the building, smoking is permitted in the back of the building only. No glitter or confetti can be used. There is no open flame or frying allowed on site or any cooking that will create a large amount of smoke as our facility is not ventilated. This space is for private activities only, and must be confined to the space itself (outside is only for smoking, no one is allowed on the residential patio). **Activities in the space may not exceed 75 decibels. No, I would not book again.

Do not book this space. If I could give it zero stars I absolutely would. The space was aesthetically pretty upon arrival, but then the challenges and flaws emerged quite strongly. Though I booked the space for twenty people, the extra tables and chairs required were chipped, VERY dirty, and needed to be carried in from a garage. Then the biggest flaw was the toilet stopped working about 10 minutes after we arrived at the space. I immediately called and requested assistance and they said they needed photographic proof. Of a clogged toilet? I did not have time for that. Meanwhile I’m trying to clean off the disgusting tables and chairs from the garage and prepare the space for the twenty guests. This single and urgent request then evolved into 5 more phone calls as I am trying to host my event. The plumber didn’t come until 3.5 hours later when the event was almost over. My guests had to walk into a Mexican restaurant DOWN THE STREET to use the restroom. Quite frankly, it was absolutely not worth the money and I wish I could get my money back.

I had a wonderful experience with using this space for my 30th birthday party! We had 40 people, and while it does get loud with 40, the space accommodated us well without feeling like we were over crowded. I also appreciated that the bathroom and kitchenette areas were both very clean. The hosts are super responsive if you have any questions before and during the event, and the space is so cute! I had a tiki themed party and the fun tropical wall was perfect for the theme!

This is a beautiful space, however, I was a bit put off by them asking if I was charging admission for auditions - that’s simply not how auditions worked & implied to me they were interested in taking a cut, when we already paid for the space 😅 also, a LONG list of nitpicking rules came AFTER we booked - information that I would have wanted to know in advance, especially it I was hosting anything other than auditions (ex: party, event). I think while the space is beautiful, I would be skeptical to book again given the rigid rules.
