About the Space
The space is an eclectic, spacious 1920's fabrication warehouse. The space has been successfully used for multiple photoshoots and workshops. The 2,700 square foot mainspace is very open and furniture and plants can be rearranged depending on your needs. Photo & Video Shoots: The main loft space has plenty of natural light. There is southern/warm light and northern/blue light. There are large blinds on the southern windows to muffle light exposure when needed. Workshops & Events: We do have a long table accommodating up to 12 guests. There is a kitchen with a bar that can be used for catering, as also two bathrooms. Further, there are smaller rooms available for phone calls or break-out sessions. The space is located in the middle of West Oakland and can be reached fast and easy via the Bay Bridge. There is parking available on site. The closest BART station is West Oakland. 20 minutes by foot and 8 minutes by bike. This is in the heart of West Oakland with easy access between SF, Berkeley, and downtown Oakland.

- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Johannes was an awesome host and helped out with every little detail, and on top of that was very flexible when we had to modify our start time on the last day. The space was really nice, larger even than the pictures led us to believe. We had to hold a few times for sounds issues during our interview, but nothing out of the ordinary for a private space inside a city - short of a sound stage it really doesn’t get better. Parking was fairly easy to find on the street and it wasn’t a busy neighborhood. Great experience overall.

The space is big and beautiful and was great for filming. Street sounds were intermittent and easy to work around. Johannes answered all my questions and was flexible about moving furniture to meet our needs.

It was such a beautiful space to work in - Lighting was great when we put the shades down. There were only 4 short instances we had to pause filming due to automobiles or birds throughout our 2.5 hour shoot. Johannes is a welcoming host and left us la Croix to sip on during production. 5/5
