This Creative Storefront was built to be transformable, our detailed open-concept design is ideal for meetings, film and photo shoots, read-throughs, classes, rehearsals and anything else including theatrical performances. Our 1,080 square foot space is located in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. It features: The front door has a window, allowing for natural light to enter the space. The window can be covered/blacked/out as needed. - Equipped with up to 60 folding chairs - Paper photographer backdrops - 3 Standing Studio Lights - 2 Studio Umbrellas - 1 six foot table and 2 four foot tables - Work Lights - Hung LED lights - A sound system with hung speakers, and cd/aux/ capabilities - Lightning fast wi-fi - Astroturf - Mirrors - Wood desks - 4 office rolling chairs - 1 Loveseat - Instagram Wall - 2 AC units - Extension cords - Backstage area for dressing and or breakout space - 1 mini fridge - 1 microwave - 1 wine cooler - 1 Water cooler with dual cold and hot water - 3 moveable wood stair units - Wooden decorative, theatrical, photographer boxes - Paint Sink - White boards - Moveable platforms For an additional fee: - A theatrical lighting system on controllable and recordable dimmers ($75) - Projector ($75) - Microphones ($40) - Yeti Recording Mic ($40) All rentals include setup and teardown time. There is one restroom with a lock, and the entire studio is located on street-level. An on-site manager can be booked for assistance throughout your booking. Please inquire for details regarding staffing. There is plenty of street parking, and two parking spaces with unit access available by special request. Our space is a converted open storefront that was a historic black-box theatre for the last twenty years, and we have maintained many original qualities while updating the floorplan in order to create a multi-disciplinary space for your use. The space continues to be run as a theatre and creative studio dedicated to the performing arts and social justice. We are three blocks from the gold metro line (.3 miles - or about a 10 minute walk) with plenty of restaurants, stores, theatres, plazas, and community spaces all around.
- Please be mindful of our neighbors, Quiet hours after 10:30 pm. - Please restore the space as you found it. - Turn off all equipment used when leaving the space including the air conditioning, lights and mixing boards. We have left you a checklist! - No alcohol sales permitted. - Max Capacity 70 OVERTIME Per Peerspace's policy, overtime will be billed in half-hour increments. The space must be vacated and all items brought into the space must be removed by the end time of your booking reservation. Overtime will be billed in half-hour increments at a rate of 1.5 times our stated hourly rate. CLEANING / DAMAGES Cleaning fee is included in the hourly rate, although guests are expected to leave the space in the same condition as they found it in. Guests must respect the space and we ask/appreciate that guests tidy up after themselves. Guest must remove any equipment or rentals you bring in, and you should factor this setup and teardown time in your booking hours. Please take great care of our space. Please do not leave food out. No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items should be used on our walls. Any tape or gummed backing materials must be properly removed. Damages (walls, floors, furniture, etc) will be billed to the credit card on file with Peerspace. FURNITURE Please notify us in advance if you need to move furniture in the space to suit your event needs. MISCELLANEOUS There is no smoking allowed in the space. No glitter or confetti can be used. There is no open flame or frying allowed on site or any cooking that will create a large amount of smoke as our facility is not ventilated. Please refer to Peerspace’s Terms and Conditions for all other rules. Just stay in communication with us should anything come up.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
The Host was so sweet and helpful. They made birthday planning less stressful. They were easy to get in contact with. They brought my vision to life. They arranged the whole building just how I wanted and more. It looked completely different and I loved it. I will be booking here again when I have another event.
Luna was extremely responsive and super helpful! My event was super casual so we didn't need a lot, but just having access to a bunch of tables and chairs was lovely. We played games and had food and snacks. We were very happy with our experience!
I had a birthday music brunch with live music, a DJ, food and drinks. I couldn’t have asked for better hosts of the space. They were so accommodating and willing to help me arrange furniture in ways that were fitting for my party layout. The hosts were genuinely invested in my event going well and in the same breath they were chill and not nit picky about things. Since their space doubles as an actors studio it’s very malleable and easy to shift around. Their bathroom has a cute interesting design! My guests loved the space and some of them were even thinking about throwing their own art/ music event. Thank you Studio Luna for contributing to the beautiful memories I created that day!
Awesome booking. Big, open space with lots of chairs. Staff were super helpful and responsive on-site and online. Definitely would book this space again. In fact, I will likely book again in the near future!
This space was great, and had everything we needed to host our workshop from wifi, projector, music while guests arrived. There was also plenty of street parking for guests along with a reserved space for our guest presenter. Our host were great, and made sure we had a great experience.
