The venue you're looking at is a very red, bordello-style bar/nightclub, and the Marilyn seating area is an exclusive section of our larger main lounge. The pictured area is comfortable for groups of 30 to 50 and consists of two grouping of couches, ottomans and cocktail tables. Our aim is to give you the event you want at a price you can afford. Birthdays, surprise parties, anniversaries, engagement parties, bachelorettes, book signings, launches and more – we offer expert assistance in organizing any event to your specifications and do our best to help make it memorable. Options range from simply holding a cozy couch area for groups of six to 50, to renting one or both of our dramatic private party rooms for groups of up to 150. Smaller groups can be comfortably accommodated in our main lounge, where seating areas are set up to form an intimate space for your guests to gather. There’s easy access to the garden (open year round and heated in the cooler months) and cocktail service is available. Prices to reserve a seating area range from $0 to $100 depending on the day of the week and the time your event begins. This is a flat rate (not per person or per hour), and there are no bottle service requirements or bar guarantees. You're welcome to stay as long as you like, though we reserve the right to boot out nap takers or those who wish to stay past closing. There is no kitchen, though you're welcome to bring in outside catering if you wish. Certain restrictions apply, so please ask when you book. If you choose to bring in food there is an additional $50 cleaning deposit, which is refunded as long as the area is kept neat. We always have fabulous music, a sultry, red-lit ambiance, and no crazy door policy. We try to make things easy and keep prices reasonable so that you get to relax and enjoy your night. PLEASE NOTE: If your booking starts at 9 p.m. or later, there is a four hour minimum. IMPORTANT! We do not update the calendar on Peerspace as we list a lot of spaces. Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. I booked with Amy to host an after party at Madame X Lounge to celebrate our dance production. Amy was a great host! Responsive and very helpful throughout the booking process and even the night of the event. My only issue is I reserved a space for 50 people, however when the owner of my group arrived the staff itself was not so helpful. We knew that our party had exceeded 50 in advance , so no issues there ; but when the owner of our group arrived with the guests, the space that was reserved couldn’t even fit 50 so we had to make use of another reserved space. We wanted to order champagne for the tables and the waitress was a bit rude to us as well. She also seemed to only be concerned with the size of our group (which our Host was aware of ) and not making us feel comfortable and tending to our needs a little bit quicker. All in all , our guests had a great time and we were very satisfied with the music from the DJ as well as the drinks and hookah.

The space was nice looking, and it was suppose to hold 25, we had 14 and were very tight by the end of our reservation time. I reserved for two hours but the workers only reserved one area, and therefore there were people sitting in the other area that only after .45 did we find was suppose to be reserved for us. This is not the fault of the host but the workers have to be more careful. The host was responsive to the situation. All in all it is a cozy space.
