This unique home's main draw is the overall quality of restoration, the quality of space and light it provides, and the thoroughness of design throughout the property - every last corner is designed and curated. With 11'-6" tall ceiling, oversized windows with original float glass, carrara marble countertops, original hardwood floors, the house has a presence not often seen in Phoenix. There are 3 fire outdoor fireplaces, 6 outdoor sitting areas, professional landscape design and lighting throughout. The square-footage of the house itself is 1450sf, but is surrounded by 8,000sf of gardens on a 10,000sf lot on a bustling historic neighborhood street, two doors west of two restaurants (Welcome Diner and Gallo Blanco), and a photo studio Blok Studio and a plant store called Pueblo. The property also features a compact, modern guesthouse nestled at the rear of the lush gardens behind this unique home. The guesthouse is a long term rental and not currently available for events or shoots. Built in 1907 and remodeled in 2017, this home was used to film Apple Computer's Genius Program tutorial footage, and has been the backdrop for numerous video and photography shoots over the years. In addition to being equipped with cooking and plating for dinner events, the home is equipped with a 12' wide x 11' tall photo paper backdrop with 4 studio soft box lights, a digital projector that projects an 8' wide image in the living room. Most of the furnishings and artwork in the home are designed by local Phoenix artists, and most is for sale (the home is curated as a gallery) - if you see something you like, please inquire! Situated in the heart of Garfield Historic District, and in the heart of downtown Phoenix, this red brick 1907 Grand Pyramid Cottage is the oldest house of its kind in the southwest. Tall ceilings and large windows provide beautiful light throughout this beautiful designer-owned home. The home is a 15 minute walk the Convention Center/ball park/basket ball stadium, two light rail stations and much much more. Guests have access to the entire property, except for the design studio that is located on the second floor of the house - accessed via an external stair off the Sunset balcony. Other things to note: Things you can do while you are here: wander the gardens, bbq a feast, make coffee, tea, breakfast, lunch, dinner, hang out or have dinner in the backyard, make a fire in the outdoor fireplace, walk two doors east to Welcome Diner or Gallo Blanco - two very nice neighborhood restaurants. There is also the Sunset balcony on the back side of the house that is perfect spot for evening drinks.
