About the Space

--- Space --- A charming converted warehouse designed with salvaged wood, concrete floors, and high ceilings. Tenants are two offices that are occupied 9-5 pm during the work week. We have an open hall plus two bar areas, two studio spaces, a loft/stage, and a large patio available for weddings, happy hours, pop-ups, coworking, activations, networking mixers, meetings and more. Rental Includes the Following Spaces: Great Hall (960 sq ft) + Shed Bar (300 sq ft) + Court Yard: Biergarden tables (9) and benches. Bar Stools (6) in Shed Bar --- Additional Features --- 2 Restrooms Large patio area High ceilings (16 - 23 ft on a slope) Concrete floors Salvaged wood siding Skylights Wifi Wifi Sonos Speakers Coffee station --- Location/Transportation --- Conveniently located within walking distance (0.2 mi, 4-6 minutes) to Crestview Metro station, which goes downtown as well as to Austin's popular East side. All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
  • Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
  • Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
  • Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
The following equipment is provided for every guest:
  • Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
  • Hand Sanitizer

Yes, I would book again.

The location was beautiful and Jody was very accommodating. It didn't take much in terms of decorating to make the venue look perfect for our wedding. Having access to both indoor and outdoor spaces was fantastic, and I can't imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. 100% recommend. Thank you so much, Jody!

No, I would not book again.

The venue was wonderful and exactly as pictured. I hosted a surprise birthday party for about 25 people and everyone loved and enjoyed the big space with various places to hang out. We did have difficulty with the speakers which wasn’t able to be resolved at the event so we could only listen to music in one room. Jody was responsive and flexible with communication. However at times the communication felt disrespectful and disorganized. There was also some miscommunication about extra things we paid to add on which didn’t meet expectations. As a whole the space was really great and perfect for a party or gathering. I would just recommend more communication around expectations for anything you might need for your event as they “admittedly are not very business-minded in operating these rentals.” If you are just looking for a neat, old Austin, space to enjoy then this rental is perfect!

Yes, I would book again.

This is a "quintessentially Austin" venue. We held a welcome event for my son's wedding weekend here and it was a huge success. The St. John Studios people were responsive, helpful, and a joy to work with. The space is exactly as advertised and is perfect for indoor/outdoor gatherings. I highly recommend it.

Yes, I would book again.

I booked the venue for a student organization celebration. Jody scheduled a tour with me beforehand, and the space is exactly as pictured. He was very helpful with the planning process and made sure we had everything we needed for the event. Everyone in attendance loved the venue, we highly recommend booking!

Yes, I would book again.

This has been long overdue from my end! The venue was a gem hidden right in the middle of Austin :) A beautiful mix of rustic indoor and outdoor space with plenty of options to configure as you see fit! We had a retro themed party for my husband's 40th and everyone loved the venue (including the kids - which is saying something!). Jody was super helpful and quite flexible as most of our plans were quite fluid. Sean was amazing - he was there to help us out throughout the event! Couldn't thank them enough for making this special for us!
