About the Space
This unique venue, housed in a historic Harlem townhouse with oversized rooms, elegant fireplaces, original etched glass sliding doors, a majestic staircase, and lots of natural east/west light exposure, is well suited for a myriad of events including live music, poetry, art exhibits, product launch, movie and television productions, photo shoots, and fashion shows. We are located directly across the street from the famed Harlem Haberdashery and Dapper Dan's Gucci location, and two blocks from the 125th Street shopping corridor, home to Whole Foods, Red Rooster, the express 2 and 3 trains, and the Lenox Avenue experience. The Parlor Floor is the perfect combination of original detail with modern accents. The Seating and Great rooms each have 14 foot ceilings, 5' tall wood fireplaces, and an overabundance of natural light. Between the two is the common area that incorporates the majestic staircase. Hardwood floors, modern lighting, and the owner’s "artful walls" collection that includes original works from Deborah-Shedrick, Ernani Silva, Willie Torbert, and the Lynn Twins completes the Harlem experience. Guest accommodation are available, making the townhouse the perfect destination for family reunions and corporate retreats. Recent events include Idea Manufacturer's 5th anniversary celebration and Harlem Park to Park's Holiday Vendor Fair.

- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Amazing space and host. Maria ensured tha we had all that we needed before and on the day of. We had sudden changes and they accommodated them. Robert the inventory list of furnitures was a blessing as it helped us to not overlook any of our needs. Thank you for the champagne and wine glasses.

We had an Amazing experience at The Harlem's Parlor yesterday.l I had abut 27 guests who were in awe of the beautiful artwork adorned on the walls of the space booked. The booking gave me access to the entire floor, which allowed my guests to flow freely from one large room to the other. The rooms were spacious with the appropriate air conditioning settings to keep us comfortable throughout our stay. Although, I would recommend that you keep the glass doors closed to allow the cool air to circulate throughout the space. Maria was great! She was very patient, calm and accommodating with my questions and requests to revisit the space for our A/V tech testing for use of the large, flat screen TV, conveniently placed above the fireplace for easy viewing for my guests. Maria was available at all times when she was needed during my event. I would rent this space again and some of my guests are interested in renting tis venue, as well. Thanks for your service Maria!!

Parlor on Lenox is a heavenly event space! Our celebration for the engagement of our daughter and her partner brought together about 40 family and friends, including musicians who welcomed the use of the tuned, grand piano! Maria responded quickly and supportively to our various questions and recommended the excellent catering services of chef Renee Joyce (https://thatgirlcancook.nyc/) We're dreaming up future celebrations to bring people together in that space again!

The venue was perfect for my father-in-law’s memorial service. The venue contact was very accommodating and arranged to let our table delivery in for us. The only challenge was that she was a bit unorganized. The morning of the event she called to find out what services were included in the listing which seems like something that she should have had documented. She also seemed surprised that I would want to move a large table that was covered with umframed artwork that was taking up floor space in one of the rooms. Overall I would recommend the space, the whole venue had great light and was perfect for transitioning between separate rooms. The artwork on the walls is also gorgeous. Just make sure that you are prepared to reiterate your requests the day of the event.
