PLEASE READ THROUGH OUR RULES BELOW BEFORE SENDING YOUR INQUIRY. Located in a remote and secluded corner of North Joshua Tree, The Shack Attack was completely rebuilt from a concrete slab and bare studs. Although the interior space is just less than 500 square feet, this small home features every amenity you would expect from homes double or triple in size. As you enter the space, you are greeted by custom-made wall art and in-floor planter that embraces the outdoors within. Turning the corner, you reach the cozy studio-style living space including a cozy and comfortable seating area with sofa and two large floor poofs, a full scale kitchen including SMEG fridge, stove/oven and sink set in custom made concrete countertops. Opposite of the seating area is a large sleeping space with king sized bed. The bathroom features a large walk-in shower, sink made of repurposed material from the original home and a large modern custom-made floor mirror. If outdoor space is what draws you to the desert, The Shack Attack features both a large partially enclosed seating area with dining table and large bench for viewing the desert during sunny days. And if you want to be directly under the stars, there is a backyard seating area with custom soaking tub complete with cold and hot water. The Shack Attack features a carefully curated selection of vinyl to complete your remote desert experience including the best works from artists such as Jon Coltrane, Nina Simone, Nancy and Lee, Roy Orbison, Charles Bradley and more. If streaming music or posting your favorite Instagram picture is important, The Shack Attack also offers unlimited wifi internet. And finally, the space is heated and cooled by a centrally located, state of the art, heating and cooling system so you will know that no matter what the elements bring, you will be comfortable and cozy inside. Most importantly, enjoy the space, but please be respectful. We have included many personal items for your enjoyment including rare and handmade items which we have collected and made over the years and would be very difficult to replace. - No smoking in or on the property - No pets - Please do not sublet the property in any way While on the property, please observe these rules: - The property uses a Septic System for waste disposal. Please do not discard anything in the sinks or toilet other than the provided, septic safe, toilet paper because it will clog (which means you will not be able to use the toilet, shower, and sink) - No outdoor fires - Please operate and safeguard the premises including, landscaping, furniture, furnishings, appliances and all mechanical, electrical and plumbing fixtures, and keep them clean and sanitary. - Occupant’s or guests’ personal property, including vehicles, are not insured by Owner against loss or damage due to fire, theft, vandalism, rain, water, criminal or negligent acts of others, or any other cause. Owner does not insure against personal injury to Occupant, guests or licensees due to any reason other than the condition of the Premises. - Owner recommends that Occupant carry or obtain insurance to protect Occupant, guests and licensees and their personal property from any loss or damage. Photo Shoot Rates & Info: HOURLY RATE: Hourly Rate based on total number of people. CALCULATE HOURLY RATE: Hourly Rate is $150/hour for 4 people (10 hour minimum). Each added person is $25/hour. HOURLY RATES TABLE: (10 hour minimum) Hourly Rate is $150/hour for 4 total people ($1500) Hourly Rate is $175/hour for 5 total people ($1750) Hourly Rate is $200/hour for 6 total people ($2000) Hourly Rate is $225/hour for 7 total people ($2250) Hourly Rate is $250/hour for 8 total people ($2500) Hourly Rate is $275/hour for 9 total people ($2750) Hourly Rate is $300/hour for 10 total people ($3000) EXTRA CAST/CREW CHARGES: Extra, undeclared people on shoot day are charged at 1.5 x your per person rate, therefore be accurate in your initial booking request. 10 people max (no exceptions). SITE REP FEE: $300 CLEANING FEE: $200 SECURITY DEPOSIT: $2000 (refundable if there's no damage to our property) PRODUCTION COORDINATOR: We ask for a single point of contact for the production on the shoot day. Please inform us who will serve as the Production Coordinator and provide us her/his contact information. The Production Co-ordinator must read and understand our House Rules. INSURANCE REQUIRED: The Guest/Renter will need to submit a General Liability Insurance Certificate showing owners name and the property address as additionally insured certificate holder (contact us for more details.) Also, please be sure to include proof of Workers Comp. insurance. Many times it is a separate policy. If you don't have Workers Comp. insurance you will need to sign a waiver upon arrival. If you are a small production and don't have insurance please let us know and we will find a work around. NOISE: When outside, please be sensitive to and respect our neighbors and refrain from playing loud music or shouting. OVERTIME: Overtime rate is 1.5 x your prorated hourly rate. Overtime is calculated in minimum 1/2 hour increments. DRONES: No drones are permitted. CHILDREN: Property must be alerted to any children. Children must either have a babysitter or be supervised by their legal guardian. SHOOT DATES: Weekdays. We rarely rent for the weekend. OVERNIGHT STAYS: Photoshoot rates do not include overnight stays. PARKING: We can accommodate up to 4 cars total. All other vehicles will have to be parked off site. Please carpool. FURNITURE/DECOR: Do not move any large furniture pieces. If small decor items are moved, please place them back where you found them. MISCELLANEOUS: Producer shall require that all crew/cast/subcontractors obey the reasonable directions of the location site representative(s) as relates to protection of the property and failure to do so shall be a breach of this agreement.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
