Terms and Conditions 1. Venue Rental Fee(s) The Client(s) or Representative for the Client(s), agree to pay minimum nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the total of all agreed upon costs(not including security deposit). This payment serves to hold the Venue for the specified date of the Event and is payable at the time of contract signature. A refundable security deposit will be returnable to the Client(s) up to 15 days after the Event has been held once property has been inspected for any potential damage or excess cleaning needs from the Event. The remaining agreed upon costs (including security deposit) will be due thirty (30) days prior to the date of the Event. Payments can be made via check or ACH from a checking account (preferred methods). Checks may be made payable to “Granite City Event Center”. Credit/Debit card payments may be arranged with an additional surcharge. 2. Date Change(s) In the event the Client(s) must change the date of the Event, every effort will be made by Granite City Event Center to transfer reservations to support the new date. The Client(s) agrees that in the event of a date change, any expenses including, but not limited to, deposits and fees that are non-refundable and non-transferable are the sole responsibility of the Client(s). The Client(s) further understands that last minute changes can impact the quality of the Event and that Granite City Event Center is not responsible for these compromises in quality. 3. Cancellations Please Review cancellation rules per peerspace.com account. 4. Rules and Regulations The Client(s) agree to the following: Decorations may not be hung with wire, nails, or screws. All decorations must be removed without leaving damages directly following the departure of the last guest, unless special arrangements have been made between the Client(s) and the Venue. All decorations must be removed by the agreed upon check out time listed above. Note: Confetti, glitter, pyrotechnics, and sparklers are not permitted inside or outside the Venue. Client and guests of client will not park in spaces designated for Lake Natoma Inn. Client and guests can utilize 2-3 hour parking spots when applicable. Recommended parking is in the Parking Garage at the corner of Leidesdorff and Reading St OR the parking lot at Leidesdorff and Wool. You may schedule an optional one hour walk-through prior to your event. This is included in your booking with us. Any additional walk-throughs can be added for $100 per hour. 5. Event Ending Times The Venue must be vacated by the agreed upon check-out time listed above. Additional hours outside of contract will be billed to the Client(s) at $250 per hour. Hours will be billed in one (1) hour increments (no-prorating). 6. Insurance Requirements If signatory is a private party, they shall present a special event insurance (check with homeowners insurance company). If signatory is on behalf of a business, they must present Commercial General Liability Insurance (including Host Liquor liability when applicable), in an amount not less than $1,000,000 Combined Single Limit for Bodily Injury and Property Damage. Such Insurance shall name “Burst Media LLC” as additional insured. A certificate of insurance with an endorsement must be provided thirty (30) days prior to the event. 7. Alcohol/Smoking Alcohol is only allowed if discussed and agreed upon prior to execution of this contract. All liquor must be served by an Insured Licensed Bartender. Alcohol may not be served to minors. Illegal substances are not allowed at any time on the premises. Drunken/Violent disturbances are prohibited and subject to immediate removal from the premise and possible termination of event without refund. The Venue is a non-smoking venue. Smoking will be permitted only outside at least 20 feet away from any entrance or exit to a building. 8. Security Deposit Security Deposit amount is based on event specifics. A $250.00 security deposit is required for adult only events, less than 50 participants and where no food, alcohol, or entertainment is being provided. A minimum $500 security deposit is required for all other events. Deposits will be returned up to 15 days after the event, as long as there is no damage or excess cleaning needs and the Venue Rules and Regulations have been followed by the Client(s) and the Event. Failure to comply with Granite City Event Center’s Rules and Regulations will result in forfeiture of the security deposit. Any damages that exceed the amount of the security deposit shall be the responsibility of the Client(s). I hereby acknowledge that I have read and understood all the Terms and Conditions contained in this agreement and further agree to be bound to the Terms and Conditions regarding the Event.
