Voted one of the best meeting spaces in Seattle by Peerspace Open Door Awards for two consecutive years, this 1930s houseboat is a unique venue on Portage Bay and was completely remodeled in 2020. Formerly owned by the famous Seattle restaurateur Ivar Haglund, it is one of only four houseboats built on pilings, which means it doesn't float, so you won’t have to worry about getting seasick. Brainstorm your next strategic planning session with a front-row seat to the water activities on Portage Bay. The house comfortably accommodates 6-8 people and offers privacy. It features an open living room, a presentation monitor, a full kitchen, and a conference table. The sliding glass doors fully open to the waterfront deck, creating an indoor/outdoor workspace with stunning views of Portage Bay, the University of Washington, and both the University and Montlake Bridges. Across the street from the property is Joe's Bayside Cafe which has a selection of snacks, coffee, sandwiches, and burgers and we are close to a variety of good restaurants that can be delivered via your preferred delivery app. All the proceeds from our rental go to support The Boyer Children Clinic and the Summit Community Center for disabled adults.
