Voted one of the best meeting spaces in Seattle by Peerspace Open Door Awards, This 1930s houseboat is a one-of-a-kind place on Portage Bay, and was completely remodeled in 2020. Formerly owned by famous Seattle restauranteur Ivar Haglund. This is one of only four houseboats built on pilings, which means it doesn't float, you don't have to worry about getting seasick. Brainstorm your next strategic planning session with a front-row seat to all of the water activities on Portage Bay. The house sits 6-8 people comfortably and is very private. It includes an open living room, presentation monitor, full kitchen, and conference table. The sliding glass doors completely open up to the waterfront deck, creating an indoor/outdoor workspace with stunning views of Portage Bay, the University Of Washington, and both the University and Montlake Bridges. Across the street from the property is an Italian deli and grocery called Little Lago, which was recently rated by the Seattle Times as having one of the best thin-crust pizzas in Seattle. They also serve sandwiches, salads, espresso drinks, and pastries. Great for meeting snacks and lunch. Is something else in mind? Reach out and we'll see if we can accommodate it. A couple of things to note: there are 51 steps down to the house, parking is on the street, and we also have dock space if you want to arrive by boat with your guests or supplies. We can accommodate a boat up to 36 feet in size.

Jayme H. booked a leadership offsite for 4 people
This was a perfect spot to hold our small leadership team offsite today. The space was bright, comfortable, clean, and had the most inspiring view! There were beverages in the fridge to enjoy and a coffee machine for us too keep the afternoon momentum going. There was a whiteboard, easel, paper, and access to a TV for presenting a laptop screen. The only hiccup for us was when we all went to jump on a client call and the WIFI couldn’t support all 4 of us on video- no biggie since we all had phone hotspots, but it was a quick moment of panic and problem solving. We would definitely recommend this space for any team wanting a change of scenery for a day or two. Dave was so easy to work with and was flexible with us when we needed to move our date due to a team member getting sick prior to our original booked date.

We booked this space last minute and it was beautiful and spacious and an amazing setting to connect as a team.. Dave was communicative and easy to reach when we got there and accidentally triggered the alarm.

Casey B. booked a client meeting for 8 people
This space was everything we hoped for and more. It's not only visually stunning, but the inside is perfectly set up for a meeting or event. There is lounge seating and table seating. Plenty of room to move around both inside and on the deck. We will certainly be renting this space again.
Miranda B. booked an off-site for 8 people
Incredible views, perfectly cozy and well-stocked coffee/tea selection. The internet worked great and the directions to get to the house were clear and straightforward. We made good use of the included whiteboard and large note pads during our meeting. It is right on the water and if there's wind off the lake it will get chilly. The 50 steps down to the house boat means it's not ADA friendly, or for elders or others who might have trouble with uneven stairs to-from the house. otherwise, it was a lovely place to meet with colleagues and work together for the day.
