Catering You are able to have outside food or catering for your event. You are responsible for cleaning up after the catering company or after bringing your own food. There is no kitchen in the facility. Table and Chairs Tables and chairs from our inventory, for indoor use, are included in the rental. Additional needs can be rented for you at an additional charge, or you can provide your own. (Note: Your tables and chairs are permitted as long as they are in good condition, i.e. feet protectors intact, and will not scratch or damage the floors.) Audiovisual Equipment AV equipment from our inventory is included in the rental. Additional equipment can be rented for you at an additional charge, or you can provide your own. Decorations & Displays Decorations and/or displays may not be hung using nails, tacks or staples. Also, no masking, duct, electrical, transparent, double-sided tapes or glues that leaves a sticky residue. The only adhesive material allowed on the walls or floors is stage/painters tape, which will not damage surfaces. All other decoration/displays must be freestanding. No furniture of any kind can be brought into the venue without prior approval. Setup/Ripdown/Cleaning Our facility will be professionally cleaned for your event. Setup and ripdown of tables and chairs from our inventory will be provided by your staff or volunteers, including taken from/returned to our nearby storage closet and set up in your chosen configuration. After the event, all items brought in by you, your vendors, or your guests should be removed from the facility, including all decorations. Please leave the cultural center in broom swept condition, and spot clean any food/drink spills. Please gather and bag all trash from both indoor and outdoor usage. The trash bags should be placed in the dumpster on the property parking lot. Alcohol, Smoking & Security Our facility complies with TABC regulations. Events selling alcohol (also, paid events serving free alcohol) require proper licensing from TABC; they will require liquor liability insurance and the hiring of security. Free private events serving complimentary alcoholic beverages may not need a TABC license, but may require liquor liability insurance and/or the hiring of security in order to rent the facility. Please review TABC regulations for full set of scenarios for which TABC licenses are required. No weapons are allowed on the property. Our Facility is a smoke free environment. Smoking will be permitted outside the facility if the renter provides a place (bucket, etc) where cigarette butts can be discarded with care. Insurance Please provide proof of insurance.
